Castle of Beasts Signups / OOC
Posted by: Guma - 01-28-2021, 20:39:12 PM - Forum: Signups - Replies (30)

This is “Castle of Beasts”, a Murdergame set in my own planned-indie-game NME universe. It's set before NME (if it's even set at all), and is not affiliated with the same canon as the other Murdergames. The King has brought on 16 characters he believes to be affiliated with the NME Hunters’ Association so he can secretly snuff them out and deal a blow to the Association's integrity.

Every player has three stats: Attack, Defense, and Speed, which all start at 1. Players can permanently increase them with items. Every day phase, after the execution, there will be a daily raid battle against a certain NME opponent. Players must work together to defeat the opponent. Whoever lands the final blow on the opponent will have all of their stats permanently increased by 1, gain the ability to check the alignment of any player that night (living or dead), and have a 70% chance of surviving if targeted by mafia that night. If they're scum, of course, they only need to worry about the first part.

Battle System: Works very similarly to Super Smash Bros. Damage starts at 0 and increases with each hit. Everyone has a separate Knockout Gauge that fills more with each hit depending on how much damage they have. They are defeated if the Knockout Gauge is filled completely.
Non-normal attacks cost MP to use, even when missed. MP starts at 20 for ever player.

Vane Castle Map:

Rules:
1. General murdergame rules all apply.
2. No skipping votes, both in day phase and night phase. Someone must die each phase, except the first day. This is to keep the game going at a smooth pace.
3. No godmodding. Godmodding is when players reveal information that has not been established by the GM, auto-hit opponents without confirmation from the GM, talk as other players’ characters, and generally expect that whatever they say goes.
4. The split is 12 innocent to 4 scum, with no power roles. Scum chat will be a private Discord groupchat.
5. No information will be revealed about players after execution. No confessions.
6. Items may not be used during battle.
7. If you're not in the game, don't post in the IC thread.

  We try to kill SCP-682
Posted by: Despair's Archon of Memes - 01-28-2021, 02:02:20 AM - Forum: Forum games - Replies (14)

Welcome to the SCP Foundation. Today, you have been tasked with possibly one of the most dangerous and resilient SCPs: SCP-682.

SCP-682: "The Hard-To Destroy Reptile"

Object Class: Keter

Description: SCP-682 is an unknown reptilian creature seemingly not of this world that harbors a disdain/hate for all life. In addition, SCP-682 also exhibits a healing factor that allows it to regenerate/recover from any known harm, has an adaptation factor that allows it to adapt its body to different situations, and is also extremely intelligent. Due to these high dangerous qualities, the SCP Foundation has stated that SCP-682 must be destroyed as soon as possible.

This is where you come in... Here's how this forum game works: A poster suggests some way to deal with/kill SCP-682 as a "test". The below poster has to then note the results of said test before suggesting a test of their own.

With that out of the way... Let us begin...

Test: Put SCP-682 into a freezer room and get the freezer room's temperature as close to Absolute Zero (–273.15°C or –459.67°F.) as possible.

Self-explanatory. Post things that you have recently learned about or discovered here.

Yesterday, I discovered that there was a Garfield prototype strip called "Jon".

  Use Noodle Implements
Posted by: MadeOfMilk - 01-27-2021, 11:20:13 AM - Forum: Forum games - Replies (32)

I know you're asking, "what's a Noodle Implement?" Well, wonder no longer!

Basically how this works is you list a bunch of random items, and the next poster has to find some sort of use for said random items that would probably make sense in context. Key word here is "probably". I'll start:

Okay, okay, hear me out, this is gonna be great. We just need a shovel, a 1:100 scale model of the Mayflower, a grungy tennis ball, and several liters of Mountain Dew and we're set!

A chat thread, but in reverse! Try to come up with a response that would've led to the above post, like coming up with a question to the above answer!

And I guess we're all done with this thread. Goodnight y'all.

Basically, you respond to the signature of the poster above you.

Since I have nothing to respond to, the next poster can do the deed for me.

The Video Arcade (general video game discussion)
Posted by: Tre - 01-26-2021, 09:39:16 AM - Forum: Media Discussion - Replies (19)

feel free to imagine the thread as a freshly remodeled Dave & Busters with the so-bad-it's-kinda-great logo on the front

It's a thread about video games. (Particularly, either the ones that aren't discussed enough to warrant their own threads OR the ones that just haven't spawned said threads just yet.)

Naturally, I'll start off with an old fave that likely won't be particularly relatable to anyone but means a lot to me all the same: Tiny & Big in Grandpa's Leftovers, a 2012 3D platformer about a dude just trying to get his magic underwear back from some meanie. It's been a while since I replayed it, but I've been in a nostalgic mood recently and this place wouldn't have the mark of my presence without me mentioning the damn thing somewhere on here, so.

I think what's gotten this one to stick around so well for me is that there honestly just isn't much out there like it -- the grindhouse and indie comic-style visuals, the off-kilter soundtrack with chiptunes slotted in alongside sludgy stoner rock and breezy psychedelica, Tiny and the Radio's shared sense of humor that isn't afraid to reference the weird conventions of the video game they're the main characters of, and the sheer power you've got over the environment you're in at almost any given moment... one of the chief public criticisms of T&B is that there simply isn't more of it, and while there's absolutely a part of me that craves a return to the whole thing, I also just find myself thankful that the experience we got doesn't overstay its welcome and instead chooses to leave a killer impression worth remembering fondly.

aight there's that. I guess I could talk about Destiny here too or smthn but I wanna hear what y'all like

to start things off:

a-yo! my name's Cutbug! I'm nothing special really, just your average 18-year-old aspie with a love of video games, roleplay and an OC ship brainrot .///.
