Just what the title says, take works and cast Troubadors as characters in the work.

  Airplane [Story Game]
Posted by: artsyGeek - 02-05-2021, 14:42:40 PM - Forum: Hybrid games - No Replies

AIRPLANE
You've boarded into a flight from Robloxian Airlines! It's like your typical airline, and under normal circumstances, there's nothing significantly different from your typical airline, indeed. However, a series of unfortunate and.. Hell, even creepy events keep occurring in the flight. Have a safe flight! You'll need it.

Hoi, hoi. I am back with another thing inspired by a Roblox game. All the info you need to know is in the OOC thread linked above, however, I'll give some basics about how the game works here:
- This is a roleplay with some rules that will be heavily enforced.
- No godmodding, metagaming, or general cheating in this game.
- This game involves segments needing RNG. They're not RTD dices, just regular RNG. Wish you luck in those situations.
- Yes, if you're unlucky and/or not fast enough, your or someone else's character will die.
I hope that is all I should tell in this. If there's any more things I need to say, let me know.

  ITT: We Make Obscure References

Exactly what it says on the tin: Make obscure references! You're free to guess the source of the reference if you think you know it, but you don't have to.

"You are a queen!"
"...in that you look like Freddie Mercury"

  Airplane [Story] - OOC Thread
Posted by: artsyGeek - 02-05-2021, 05:48:12 AM - Forum: OOC threads - Replies (6)

Ahoy. It's me, Geek. Back again with another thing based on Roblox games. Woo.

Anyways, Dookie made a little thing in his Tupperbox server that inspired this. Now, for those unfamiliar, Airplane Story is a series of Roblox games made by Ponchokings. The premise is that you board on a plane, attempted to board on one, or is on a mission to rescue a hijacked plane. It's kind of a surprise creepy sort of game (although it's more action in my honest opinion).

Here's a Wiki article that could help.

This is also the sign-up thread, so sign up here if you wish to play.

RULES AND INFOS:
- Forum rules apply as usual.
- No godmodding, metagaming, or general cheating in this game.
- This game involves segments needing RNG. They're not RTD dices, just regular RNG. Wish you luck in those situations.
- Any characters that aren't blatantly NSFW are allowed. Yes, your characters can be OP, just make sure they don't use their powers all the time and you should be good to go.
- Feel free to correct me if I did anything wrong while GM-ing; I'm human just like y'all.
- Have fun!

  The Big Freeze
Posted by: Mackie - 02-04-2021, 07:17:56 AM - Forum: Roleplays - Replies (15)

British Columbia, Canada, November 13 2026.

It started like any other early winter flurry, kicking tufts of snow into sidewalks and roads, urging families to scurry to the grocery store to stock up on milk and eggs. However, as winter deepened it got worse, piling record amounts of snow and ice onto the province.
By May, scientists were befuddled: it was like Mother Nature decided that burning humanity away wouldn't work, and instead tried to freeze the invasive species away like a deep-rooted wart. When the term the Big Freeze is coined and Canada's federal government called an emergency meeting in order to handle it, all hell broke loose.
By July, society had all but collapsed – with production chains drying up, panic buying hit hard and people starved. People died. Cults around both the sun and the snow sprung up and withered away, government powers all but disappeared, and finally, a year and a day after the first snow, a geomagnetic storm killed most electronics – cutting the power grid and stopping traffic where it stood.
You have decided to brave the roads and head north. Braving the roads and the increasingly braver wilderness in an attempt to find food and shelter, you eventually come across the budding community of River Bend. Will you survive the Big Freeze?

The Big Freeze is a longform, prose-heavy RP set in a future Canada where endless winter has ravaged the land and brought society to its knees. The town of River Bend, British Columbia is built on the ruins of a previously existing town, and major locations include:

  • The Post Office
  • The Old Bank
  • The Church
  • The School
  • Town Hall
  • The Barracks

  The Big Freeze Signups
Posted by: Mackie - 02-04-2021, 07:16:16 AM - Forum: Signups - Replies (11)

Welcome to the signup and basic rules thread for THE BIG FREEZE!
Rules for the RP are simple: This is a character-driven, longform RP set in rural Canada during an apocalyptic event. I would prefer if character are human, without any special powers, and if you would prefer to use colored text, keep it readable.

  Spoil the ending... badly.
Posted by: awe921 - 02-03-2021, 08:00:58 AM - Forum: Forum games - Replies (45)

it's in the title. think of a work and try to spoil it's ending in the worst way possible. you can also try guessing what works the badly spoiled endings are from.

i'll start:

16 year old homicide convict falls off world's tallest building, alongside making the trailer music for their work way, way more painful to listen to in the process.
