[Mafia] Codename: MAFIA - Round1 Over, Good Wins by Trickery
So, anyway, the plan for the upcoming night phase is the following.

Bus Driver, you Drive The Bus. Swap the Obvious-Bomber with someone else chosen at random. This will cause the scum team problems.

I'm DM'ing the part that must remain secret to Lavender, who I'm trusting, as you should trust me.

And obviously, Matthew gets eliminated now.

I don't think so, World Famous Actor! If you play a doctor on TV, I wouldn't be surprised if you're trying to play the part of "Important Town Leader". It's a good act, but you're kind of being a little too narrow like you tend to do as a killer. Not considering other possibilities, but choosing to kill me off and take a gamble, especially with someone who has a more disposable role. I'm not buying your act one bit.

You have a disposable role though.

And also, as Nebula said "who claims miller only when pressed?"

and again, I'm not a doctor. I said as much. But I will take up the mantle of town leader if that's what you want.

Also, again, what other possibilities? Those don't matter yet. We need to get you out of the way before you cause problems. "Whistle and Lavender and Nebula voted for me right out of the gate" isn't much of another possibility.

Why shouldn't I say it? Am I not allowed to try to save myself? People were role-claiming, so what's the difference? I'm not going down that easy. Just remember everyone, someone who stubbornly pushes for someone to die is very questionable. First you chose Smily for whatever reason, then me. Oh, and if Lavender ends up dead shortly after, you'll know who to have eyes on.

Aaaactually

No. You're a miller. You shouldn't be trying to save yourself, you're a detriment to the town. Earlier you also claimed you were a powerful ally, but then you turn about and claim miller? That seems EXTREMELY dubious.

I never claimed to be anything other than a Miller. You're just trying to twist things around, to paint me as a bad guy. I know that's what you do in these games. You come up with all this screwed-up logic and then you kill someone and they turn out innocent.

I never said I was anything else. You're just trying to put words in my mouth and manipulate the others.

This sounds like you're claiming to be important.

"Very helpful" "Very valuable"

the adverbs imply you're planning on claiming more than miller, while "mysterious" is a clear hedge in case of investigation.

By helpful, I said I can be very valuable in deduction play. Didn't mean anything else beyond that. That's your interpretation of my comment. I didn't mean anything else. But keep thinking what you will.

Eh.

My point stands. Miller or Killer, you're a detriment by role alone.

Sure, kill a guy just because he has a detrimental role. That's a great strategy. I'm still keeping my vote on you for the time being. But at the very least, I will be watching people closely, not just blindly trying to get them voted off. And yes, I know. People might grill me over what I said over Nebula, but like I said, it was just me getting on defensive mode. And noticed I dropped my vote as soon as things calmed down.

Oh, by the way. I noticed when you were town on Witch Trip, how you didn't instantly go for Point when she claimed a similar role like I had. Now I know you did have her as an eventual target. But you didn't set your sights on her at first. You looked at other options on who to take down. It's so funny how you're just narrowing on me now, isn't it? Acting like there are no other possibilities. So yeah, here's my other possibility. I got eyes on you. And, no it's not like that Nebula stuff. I'm now getting on my game!

Oh, don't bring witch trip into this, that was an in-character decision.

This is the correct decision.

Don't be stupid. This is hardly blind, you're a miller, so you're either lying or being detrimental. If you were REALLY town, you'd be glad to be voted off as miller, or you'd have brought it up sooner, because YOU WIN AS TOWN EVEN IF YOU'RE DEAD WHEN TOWN WINS.

Millers are dangerous, and he's no miller, I'm sure. And if you trust me, things will turn out better.

Also if I go down, please stick to the plan when I flip green.

After all, I always play this way. (Also Kennifer is prooobably on the scum team but I can't really confirm it, it's just a feeling.)

Whistle, stop being such a sheep with the voting. Just think about this thoroughly. At the very least, I have given out arguments and poked through Florien's logic. Aggressive play or not, you're getting awfully stubborn for such a town player. And I noticed how stubborn you get every time you play scum. No way in hell you'll flip green. And if you do, then feel free to vote me off next day. I'm throwing in all my chips on you.

And why would I be glad to be voted off for? Seriously, why? I'm not some third-party who relies on getting voted off to win. I have nothing to gain from being voted off.

FoS: artsyGeek (Miss Illustrator)

I smell a rat here, though I feel a little guilty pushing the person that may be away for a good chunk of the game. They've claimed to have swapped two people last Night. Not only did they neglect to say who exactly they swapped, but their attitude was like "it shouldn't matter much" because no-one could've died, even though they could've (for example) gotten an investigator to visit the wrong person or get roleblocked*. They also said they've been Bus Driver before, so they've probably got a feel for how the role works. I see no reason to hide who was swapped after the swap happened.
As icing on the cake, I don't see how "Miss Illustrator" can lead to her getting Bus Driver, even if she is good. Can someone do me a favour and help me read TenOfSwords13's mind?

*: This could've lead to a scum member being "cleared". I don't think it could've lead to an innocent being implicated, because someone would've spoken up.

Florien: This is why I don't trust your plan. You appear to trust the Bus Driver claim and I don't.
We all know you either scumread or want to policy vote Matthew. Yes, he may be scummy, but do you have any other reads? What about Kennifer makes you suspect her?
If he claimed Miller after being investigated, then you'd have my vote. But I don't feel like a known Miller is quite worthy of a policy vote if they claimed before being investigated, and hence self-defence isn't game-throwing here. It was still a little late, but not too late.

Matthew: We basically already dismissed the idea that there's a third party. It might just be me, but you only seem to interact in the thread to defend yourself.
Besides Florien, do you have any other reads?
I know that you initially scumread me, but then reconsidered when your wagon disappeared. How's that going now?

Whistle: You just silently slid in votes here, when earlier (when you bandwagoned Matthew at the start) you gave an actual reason. Care to explain?
And from now on, y'all should do your best to explain your votes.

Smily: Do you have any reads?
What else needs saying?
TRIPLE STAR
That's what you are.
Amazing!

I trust the bus driver claim.

You could justify it by saying "cunning artistic disguises of misdirection". Incidentally I do have a way to check it to some degree of probability, assuming I survive tonight. Though you are right, it does seem strange considering we have no idea if roles conform to normal roles. (I doubt all of them do)

As for Kennifer, I don't know. It's one of those feelings. I wouldn't put too much stock in it right now.

As for voting off the miller, it's a miller. It's a late claim of it, and more to the point, we have no idea if we actually have investigative roles out here. We have nothing else really to go on. If it does turn out to be a normal miller, we've not lost anyone important. If it does turn out to be that Matthew is scum, then we're better off. We aren't risking anything important with that, and it's a traditional scum claim.

Now, we can try to scumread people. But I don't really think that's worth worrying about, most people play the same all the same. Though I do find it dubious how Whistle flails around wildly trying to join in on every train. We can go for Whistle next day phase if Matthew flips green, (and if she's still alive, in case of vigilante-types out here. If we have those I would recommend going for her in case of a greenflip on Matthew. If not, we'll know there are none of your ilk.)

Worst case we lose, best case we win, really. No point in thinking far beyond that.

@NebulaChimera2211: I am reading the posts, and it seems like I'm being voted for no good reason, so I'm inclined to agree with you on the whole "Provide reason(s) for why you're voting [X]" thing. Especially given how my role works, as those who are aligned with the Good people would be more willing to spare me if they want a guaranteed late-game victory.

Although, since I am Corporal Compromise, I am willing to act as the negotiator for the Good-aligned players, talking with the Evil ones via DMs to work out a compromise that would satisfy both sides. Would that be satisfactory?

There is no compromise in mafia.

One side must be slaughtered, else nothing can be achieved. And the one side we should slaughter is the scum team, obviously.

Incidentally, if you claim to be negotiating with the scum team, we execute you, because no sane scum team would ever reveal themselves to a townie, so therefore you'd be scum, or you'd have to reveal who you were talking to, or both.

In which case, we execute you, then the person who you claim contacted you.

Well, can't say I didn't try to be nice to both sides, and right now I see Nebbo as the most reasonable individual right now, so I'm going to just roll with whatever Nebula's got.
