Town clearly didn't think of non-Alien scum simply idling their kill, and to be fair, I didn't either until I got his first idle.

Kennifer was very unlucky, taking the Cop role when no-one was Mafia. No matter who she investigated, she would've gotten a "not Mafia" result.

Speaking of Cops, I think there was some confusion about how it worked in this theme. Its results are Mafia/Not Mafia, not Town/Not Town (that'd be Bloodhound). Hence a "Not Mafia" result confirms either that someone isn't a Mafia member, Suspicious Townie/Werewolf, or Wrong Place at the Wrong Time Townie, or that there's an Alien Psychotrooper in the game.
This is the only reason I can think of for Smily getting cleared by the town when he really shouldn't have. Kennifer gets a "not Mafia" result from him, which is technically correct, but misleading. If last scum is an Alien (which was a reasonable assumption, if wrong) and Smily is confirmed to not be Mafia-aligned, he shouldn't be clear.

Knife quickly hammering Whistle, who was the best-equipped person to deal with the Werewolf, didn't help in the slightest.

I think Smily got quite lucky as well, claiming Bulletproof when there just so happened to be a Bulletproof Alien Lover in the game, and he ended up attacking her, so the presence of more than one scum faction wasn't instantly given away. Even better, the Alien he needed out of the way was suspicious and voted out quickly. Whether or not it was making the best of a bad situation, him idling his kill until the right moment after trying to kill Knife was a genius move.

also the no-kill on n2 was absolutley solid, really sold the aliens idea. well played.

another question: what would the setup've been if we'd went with the first choices instead? just curious.

Yeah, the results I got when I copped Smily was "your target is not part of the Mafia".

I mistakenly thought that the cop role would show me whether my target was part of any of the scum factions instead of a faction that wasn't even in this game lol.

I tried, at least. And it was fun being inno for once even though nobody believed me due to the role I chose ending up not being as useful as I'd hoped.
