Fawful's also got his hands on a speed booster, and he then attempts to come out in the lead.

Then, someone throws something... and a cloud of smoke appears around some of the other racers, making it harder to see. "Hahaha! Shouldn't have underestimated me!" Tiger says as he tries driving past them.

Vriska is gonna try to see right through that smoke with her VISION 8FOLD and try to pull out of anyone who's having trouble with it.

Shortcut!

Sonic gets another wisp from an item box. Suddenly, Sonic's kart transforms into a serrated spiralled cone of energy and burrows under the go-kart track itself.

Drill!

Bossman gets blinded by the smoke as he swerves all over before clearing up his vision. He makes a note of another path. Could be a shortcut. He decides to be bold and take the pathway.

[Caret]

Fawfu meanwhile attempts to not spin out of control. He eventually makes it out, but in a lower ranking then before.

I HAVE PURE FURY!!!!!!

Now working on pure fury, Fawful accelerates his kart to the max possible speed; the idea of having a fair competition having been since then thrown completely out the window (not that Fawful really had that idea in the first place, anyways).

As Ichiban keeps going fast, he crashes into some obstacles in the way. Gotta be more careful...

Meanwhile, Neptune gets close to Fawful with a speed boost... and then starts spraying the silly string.

Sonic's kart emerges out of the ground, closer to the front, and into the air, while Sonic does some tricks while in the air.

Bossman appears from his shortcut and he's neck-to-neck with Sonic as he whacks at him as they both head to the front.

[Caret]

The silly string causes Fawful to spin out of control and forces him to stop on the side to remove the silly string from his engine.

I AM VERY NOT HAPPY! Fawful will STILL WIN!

Vriska barely dodges her own spiderweb trap and goes to get another power-up... oooh boy it's a shell!

She YEETS it at whoever is directly in front of her!

Meanwhile, Tiger seems to be... gathering speed boosts? Oh god did anyone put an item limit here

[Caret]

After removing the silly string from his engine, Fawful gets back on track and collects a golden mushroom, and instantly uses it to get back near the lead.

Bossman spins out of control as he felt the impact from a shell. But who? Oh, Vriska, now it's on... He regains control of his vehicle and goes on the hunt for a power-up.

Meanwhile Vriska's going as fast as she can, trying to take the lead.

Sonic feels the recoil from the Bossman's whacks, but is able to regain control.

The Sonic Drift jumbotron announces:

Secret paths unlocked!

Sonic sees a secret ring portal... It seems to lead to someplace... Definitely inside the go-kart track. Sonic, with no hesitation, jumps into the portal.

Neptune's also trying to get the lead, and is now closing in on Vriska and Fawful...

...And then... "Can you beat this ULTIMATE SPEED?" Tiger uses all kinds of speed boosts at once, only to end up losing control of his kart and flying at full speed into the wall, breaking off half his kart in the process.
"Owww... that wasn't how it was gonna go! This game is rigged!"

Derana then walks up to him. "...You're out."

[Caret]

Fawful is now completely dedicated to ending up in first, and is now closing in on Vriska.

I'll shall win! I HAVE ROAD RAGE!

Sonic, after jumping into the ring portal, finds himself in a half-pipe with rings . Sonic drives his kart on the half-pipe to collect said rings, and eventually sees another ring portal back to the track. When he emerges out back into the track above the other racers, the rings are converted into power-ups, and Sonic proceeds to use one of the Speed Shoes speed boosters!

Vriska heads towards what she hopes is another speed power up, she needs a burst to push past the other karts...

Fawfu then throws some banana peals right behind him to prevent anyone from passing him in the meanwhile.

Meanwhile, outside the Go-Kart race...

Monaca notices the now comatose Junko... Who is slowly losing chunks of her body mysteriously...

Sis? Are you alright?

"Do you know what's going on with your sister?"

A loud THUD indicates that Amanda has... fainted again, ow.

Fortunately for her, the new girl-- whose name is Michelle even though nobody asked-- has gone to set her things up in her room and has not been watching the gruesome TV show. Little does she know she'll have her chance in a killing game soon enough.
