The Big List Of Every Character
Posted by: wingedcatgirl - 01-22-2021, 00:58:55 AM - Forum: OOC threads - Replies (33)

Post your characters and relevant info about them here.

Please keep it to one post; if you want to add more characters later you can edit your existing post. (We might rescind this rule if we decide it's not actually helping.)

If you're not sure where to start, here's a basic form-type list you can fill out:

Code:
(image)
[b]Name[/b]:
[b]Gender/pronouns[/b]:
[b]Appearance[/b]: (text-based, if you lack an image)
[b]Source Material[/b]: (if applicable)
[b]Species[/b]:
[b]Backstory[/b]:

  The Murder-Free Hotel
Posted by: wingedcatgirl - 01-22-2021, 00:50:57 AM - Forum: Roleplays - Replies (1748)

You wake up in a comfy bed in what appears to be a hotel room.

Heya. Did you know that being murdered can, under incredibly precise circumstances, give you godlike power over your own personal alternate universe? Fun and interesting fact. I decided to have some fun with it.

There's no murderers here, no blinking lights, no ravening werewolves, no judgemental extraterrestrials, nor any viruses seeking to infect -- without consent, anyway. Just hang out. Get to know each other. And make the most of your time. After all... who knows what might happen next?

This is a super-casual may-or-may-not-be-canon RP for characters who exist in the Murderverse. No murdering will happen in this world. You're just kinda here.

I don't know how to design world layouts, so just casually assume everything is laid out in whatever way is most convenient to the roleplay. Yes, that area your character wants to go to does exist and is accessible, unless someone else got there first and made it inaccessible.

And also here's the discussion thread.

Last time on Murder-Free...

The hotel's PA system crackles to life.

"Did you know we have one of these?" Sylvi says. "It turns out we have one of these. Anyroad. I'm gonna throw wide some gates. If you have anyone from back home you'd like me to summon, meet me at the landing pad I just built outside."

Anyone looking out the window would see a newly-pink-smoked stone platform, a perfectly flat square a good dozen meters to a side.

Front office
Sylvi hangs up the PA. "I feel like I could've made the thing more featured," she mutters to herself, "but I'm not sure what kind of features this even ''needs''."

GAME OVER: PRESS 'R' TO TRY AGAIN
Posted by: Despair's Archon of Memes - 01-22-2021, 00:47:17 AM - Forum: Forum games - Replies (64)

In this game, you are killed in a gruesome/hilarious way by a situation or thing that the above poster mentions. Then, you suggest something that kills the next poster.

To begin this game... The next poster is reading this very thread.

Three things you do and don't have in common with the below poster
Posted by: Forevopera - 01-22-2021, 00:43:56 AM - Forum: Forum games - Replies (19)

Name three things you have in common with the person who posts below you, and three things you don't.

Obviously you can't name them until someone actually does post below you, so just post anything and edit your answers into the post once there's a post below yours.

@Guma:
In common:
We both have made music for RPs
We both have SoundCloud accounts
We both have unique one-word names

Differences:
You're not in TTS while I'm not in murdergames
I'm not a backup mod
I'm over 18

Name a thing and see the above poster's opinion on it

Name a thing (anything!), and the above poster will edit their post to tell you their opinion on it.

(Down) I love them! Maybe it's a little basic if they're my favourite band of all time, but I don't care, they're great.

  Bad ideas for forum games
Posted by: Forevopera - 01-22-2021, 00:39:17 AM - Forum: Forum games - Replies (61)

Pitch ideas that would make hilariously terrible forum games. Don't overdo it on shock value, we don't want to go too far.

Give the above poster a compliment of some kind on anything about them that you like!

Be genuine, no backhanded compliments. If you don't want to compliment the person above, don't post.

  The Trouble Cube Skyscraper
Posted by: Despair's Archon of Memes - 01-21-2021, 23:49:51 PM - Forum: Forum games - Replies (90)

You are all in charge of building a large skyscraper... one floor at a time! The gist of this game is this: You construct one floor per post. Anything can be on the floor, no matter how unrealistic. The only rule, of course, is that you can't destroy the skyscraper.

Floor 1: The main lobby of the Trouble Cube Skyscraper, this floor is where the main reception area is. This floor contains the main elevator of the Trouble Cube Skyscraper used to access all of its floors. This floor also contains maps for said floors. Visitors that visit the Trouble Cube Skyscraper WILL need those maps...

  Warmart 3: (No) Mart Cop
Posted by: MadeOfMilk - 01-21-2021, 23:11:42 PM - Forum: Hybrid games - Replies (53)

Devil's Hands, Texas. It was a ghost town where nobody dared venture. But right next to it.... was a Walmart.

A group of trained mercenaries known as the Greasemonkeys, 50 years ago, built the store as a cover for their battle arena. Even today, this store is still in use, and people still fight in it. The local hillbillies have termed it...

WARMART

Alright, so this is a bit different from the other R Ps going on. Here's how it plays: You grab whatever from the store, then you use it to fight someone, or defend against someone, or whatever. Yeah, that's pretty much it. Roleplaying is encouraged, but this is an isolated thread not tied to any existing universe, and it's more like a combat arena.

Rules are:
1: Don't be a dick. That should be self-explanatory.
2: Only use stuff you could be reasonably expected to find in a Walmart. Magic is allowed, so long as it has an explanation.

That good? Good. Let's start this thang.

A young twenty-something is spending way too long in the video game section. They're treating it like a life-changing decision. Yeah, what's up with that?
