"Well, she wasn't meant to survive! The void had decided that she was beyond repair! Why are you questioning it?"

"Please! I'll lose my job!"

"I also lost my job, you know!"

"...Hold on, what made you lose your job?"

"Well...I'm somewhat of a bounty hunter. I was born and raised here in the Void, and i'll probably never get out. So the gods of the Void or whatever decided to use me for good. So now, I'm basically a part of that. My job is to meet new void members, decide who is changeable and who isn't, and then assasinate the "unchangeables," like Ronnie and Pecan. Then, i'll guide the others to safety and let them leave."

"But...now that Pecan survived, I might lose my job because of it. An unchangeable can't survive. But...maybe the girl isn't an unchangeable."

"If your job is to kill people, maybe you should find a better one," Loren snarls.

[Kennifer]

"And what criteria do you use to decide this, anyway?"

[Dookie]

"It's easy. If they're hindering the team instead of helping, they're beyond repair. Either that, or if the Void itself (Because yes, it's alive somehow) asks me to kill someone."

[Kennifer]

"She seemed kinda... neutral though? And are any of the rest of us allegedly beyond help? Answer carefully."

Amanda: She can stay. Bad luck is her main flaw, and that's not her fault.

Scott: Same as Amanda.

Ronnie: He's just been an annoying weirdo. I probably won't need to kill him though, his addiction will do that first.

Loren: She's chill. Let her live.

Beppermint Barry: I mean...he's fun to have around.

Shintaro Kisaragi: Keep.

Amethyst: Something in her just inspires me. Keep.

Hitomi Chris: Another case of “mostly beyond their control”. Keep.

Pecan: So looking at her information...it seems she was put in here for a reason, and she's getting on my bad side. So looking again at what The Void told me, she...oh. I'm not sure on this, put I guess kill the girl.

Nephrite: Yeah sure she can stay.

Mindy Mercedes: She's just a regular teen. Let her stay.

Henkano Dank: Pretty dank.

William Gary Busey: Fine.

Myst: Why is she here? Eh. Keep.

“But I'm not making the decisions anymore. It's the Void now, so anybody could die. And yes, Bethany is my real name. You see, my parents wanted to name me-oh right I should show you something first.”

“So I want you to guess. What species am I? What exactly am I?”

Amanda... snickers a bit at the note on her, since... yeah she pretty much figured that was why she was here.

"Okay, I'm guessing you're definitely not human... some kind of angel or demon maybe?"

Since it looks like Bethany isn't trying to murder anyone anymore, Loren shifts back to otter.

"You look like some kind of mammal," she says, "but no species I've ever seen before."

[Dookie]

"Well...definetely not a devil. Not good enough to be an angel, and well..."

They get out a device from their pocket.

"The void sometimes takes future realities from where everyone dies here. There are some cool gadgets. This is one of them. Anyone wanna try it out?"

"At least I'm on the Keep side, and I'll tell Amethyst that too once she wakes up. She took quite a beating from that collapsing mansion." Neprhite says, semi-relieved at hearing that.

[Kennifer]

"I... am not sure that's something I wanna know."

[Dookie]

“You sure? It's pretty cool.”


“Fine. I'll just say it. It changes your appearance. It makes you look like something your not. I use this and a fake name (I was gonna have everyone call me “Chip” until I lost my job) to make sure my real self is different from my bounty hunter self. Would anyone like to do the honors of uncovering the real me?”

[Kennifer]

"Well, I mean a couple of us can change our appearances too. Mine's just my hair, but..."

Amanda shrugs. Her hair, as she says this, has gone from dark purple to a vibrant turquoise.

"But whatever, let's see what that thing can do."

"I can't actually control my appearance when I shapeshift, beyond species," Loren says. "But that's still pretty cool."

[Dookie]

“C'mon, just shoot it at me and set it to “Normal.”

Pecan gets up and runs (injuredly) over to ???/Bethany.

“Why were you trying to kill me??? I understand I would survive because my player doesn't want to kill me, but please! That was rude! And you trying to eat my pie? Trying to suffocate me? I almost died! In fact, I'm half dead!”

She punches them weakly.

Shrugging, Amanda picks up the device and shoots it at ??? set at "Normal". (She has also changed her hair to blonde again but that's far less interesting.)

...will she hit Pecan also/instead, who knows?

[Cassie]

Henka sees his note, and gives a groan of disgruntlement.

"Keep? I guess I'm still worth living."

[Dookie]

Pecan gets an electric shock.

“Ow!”

Bethany, meanwhile, looks completely different.

They're gone.

Wait, they're just hiding behind a rock.

[Dookie]

They come out, as a bee with a pink sweater and big boots.

”Don't ask me who thought this was a good fashion idea, I found it on some abandoned neighborhood. also yeah I altered my voice so whatSORRY! It's just I'm a bit insecure about you know...this version of me.”

[Kennifer]

"A... bee?"

Amanda blinks to try and be sure of what she's seeing.

[Dookie]

“Yeah, it might be a little weird. Also, I'm a girl. I know I never specified.”

Bethany starts to smile.

[Cassie]

Chris is just, astonished. She quickly jots down this fact afterwards.

"Whoaaaa..."

Pecan is steaming.
