Oh... Unrelated, sorry for the tangent, but I've got a plan to save us all and eliminate the correct targets. Listen carefully... Please. I know I'm not great at communicating.

Entrapta, block Cthlrak. Kanade, protect Entrapta. I'll swap Kanade and Michelle, so that no one can hit you tonight.
 Once that's done, I'll have the answer for who the killers are tomorrow morning... Almost certainly.

Entrapta tilted her head. On one hand, causing a bot to die was borderline unforgivable in her eyes. On the other...geez, if this was their level of skill in social deductions, what other choice did they have? The correct target was probably hysterically laughing at them right now. In a way, they were responsible for Mettaton's death, not just Lucintsea.

"And this will work? Assuming those of us remaining are who we say we are?"

"I just hope that having all of this out in the open as a plan doesn't backfire. Especially knowing who's been swapped. But if we can do this without losing any power roles, sure, let's go for it. I do worry they'll target me to get at Kanade though; she's more valuable than I am."

Michelle smiles a bit, but looks uncomfortable.

This plan should be acceptable. However, surely it would have been preferable to share it only with the two mortals with powers? So that theoretical killers could not learn what that plan is?

True. The walls are pretty thin around here, though.

...I have a bigger concern, though. I was looking back at the handbook we were given about this 'game'. It says the Driver can only swap themself and another player. And they can only do it two times. ...So I don't think Lucintsea would be able to swap Kanade and Michelle. ...Which, yeah, I would have the same concern, Michelle. But I don't think it's possible anyway.

"But Lucintsea said she swapped Kanade and Coldsteel last night, which... isn't swapping herself with someone either."

"But yeah, announcing who's being swapped will just make them go for, well... the less important of us to get a power role out of the way."

so I guess it was treated like a regular "swap any two people" driver role like we've had in other games then?

Yeah, that's... you're right about that.

"I mean if I die and it helps the rest of you weed out the bakas without losing anyone important I'm willing to take that risk, but... putting it out in the open sounds like it could get the wrong person killed, I'm sorry to say."

Michelle didn't ask why she in particular was being used in this plan.

I promise you, all this will work. It doesn't matter if everyone knows what's happening, because no matter what action the killers take, I'll personally be able to confirm both of their identities tomorrow.

I'll leave it up to the ones ruining perfectly good vessels to try to figure out a way around this plan. They'll fail. All do.

"Weeeeellll, they did manage to outfox us the past two times..."

...The last night, one of the bakas got killed by their own, allegedly because of Lucintsea's switching. I'm still not seeing that this plan is going to work nearly as well as advertised, though.

"I thought Entrapta meant they managed to not get themselves voted off, and we executed innocents instead."

[Florien]

They didn't do anything though. They didn't outsmart anyone. I guessed because there was no way to get more information, and you probably did the same the first time. It's not cleverness, but luck. 

What I'm going to do will narrow down the possible murderers to two. Or three if Gundam gets replaced after he's done overdosing on that cough syrup. 

Either way, we're essentially guaranteed victory. If we follow this plan.

Alright. Remember, stick to the plan I came up with, and you'll all live long enough to be vessels for the nation of one. Don't do that, and your body will die the same as the rest of you.

Entrapta. Block Cthlrak or Selen(ium). Your choice.

Kanade. Protect Entrapta.

And I'll do what I need to do. You'll be safe, I promise. I need your bodies alive to familiarize afterwards.

If all goes to plan, we'll have victory assured.

...I'm not sure I want to be a vessel for the Nation of One. And I'm not sure I'm going to stay alive before you catch these bakas.

"I kind of like being able to, you know, think for myself and not be part of a hive mind. But other than that, sure, fine with the plan I suppose."

Oh don't worry, you won't be thinking as part of a hive mind or anything. You'll just literally be more of me. "You" will effectively be dead, which sucks for them, but your body will be part of something cool. People like being part of noble causes, right? 

This is a very noble one, I promise. You're sacrificing yourself for a better world. I've already made the sacrifice myself. I'm chained in like the rest of my chained.

That's besides the point though, if you're not a hostile, you'll probably live long enough to become a vessel. Otherwise you'll be dead long before then. Unfortunate, but when the world is all vessels, they can make more. My plan will work, if everyone relevant follows it.

...sorry, to be clear, "my plan" which will work if "everyone relevant follows it" is the plan for the current situation. My primary plan to make the world one does not require anyone to follow it other than myself, as long as I have access to my directs to chain from. And enough money to bribe siege engineers and such people into working for me, thinking I'm just another imitator who'll be gone by next week.
