I am not going to say what it does, because I believe it would make the presumed killer target us if they knew about it. Regardless, we tried to use our power last night. It should have yielded a result, but it did not."

"Oh! OH! I remember something from my dream! I was presented with a list of powers and what they do! Stuff like the "Alien" and the "Mason". Could everyone else here have powers like us?"

A... Alien?! Somebody could abduct us? ...Unless that's a good thing. Maybe it'll make them feel safe.

An Alien? That would be devastating for the humans here, yes. However, since there has not been an additional murder, perhaps we could try and go over clues that we obtained yesterday? See if we can catch the person who killed the Bootlegger?

"I don't think we got much of a lead about the Bootlegger's killer yesterday, hence why we skipped voting."

Maple considers the pair's claims. "Yeah, this alien thing, they could've taken someone away for the night. ... Hey, waitasecond - if you think that's what happened to you two, d'you think the killers wanted you dead?"

"Unless people speak up about what they did last night, I don't think we have another evidence to convict anybody yet. Hopefully, this killer won't do anything funny tonight!"

"A-are you sure about that? Uh... maybe the reason nobody died last night was the killer targeted Anya and I, but whatever happened to us made it impossible for them to carry out their plan. Keep in mind this is just a hypothesis." Eki sighs. One night in, and of course there are already people who want them dead. How excellent.

"Thinking about that list I saw in my dreams, there's two people that could have done this! One's an Alien, and the other's something called a Gorgon. I don't know what "gorgon" means, but eh! They both have the power to prevent others from using their powers, while at the same time protecting their targets from death. The Gorgon seems to be workin' with the killer, while the Alien is on our side. Assuming both of them exist, anyhow. There's a chance only one of them is real. But which one?"

"Hmm. If the Gorgon stoned you, that would mean there's a different reason why nobody died. The time doctor coulda done it... um... I think that's the only one that wouldn't leave some other effect behind. It seems pretty unlikely, though."

"As usual, we did not attempt anything last night. We thought we noticed some strange things going on outside our window, but it was too dark and we were too tired to make heads or tails of it."

"So something happened to the two..." Gooble says, gesturing to Eki and Anya. "Curious..."

I was fast asleep last night. I dreamt about a volcano...

"... Well, at this point I don't think the alien-or-gorgon is gonna step forward here," Maple says. "Uh, where was discussion on the Bootlegger? I think it stalled out and nobody had any thoughts left?

Mavis has been hanging out watching everybody, looking glad as well that nobody died. "Yeah! I could go for some pancakes. How about you, Booker? Grunkle Ed? Pancakes?"
