Emilia blows a sigh of relief. She had to sacrifice some fabric form her really expensive transforming clothes, but at least she isn't bleeding to death anymore, and that's more important than magic clothes.

"Thanks, you two! I thought I was a goner for a second, but hey, I'm alive! And I probably should get this checked out by a doctor when this is over, but I digress. We shouldn't waste time, however. We still have a bloody mystery to solve."

> inspect the history museum. Does it look like anything was taken from the displays?
Zee decide they'll leave the people in Bootlegger's cabin alone and investigate the scene of the murder. They walk around the windmill for a while, musing about their theories. Then, they figure the next best step would be to...

> Reach inside the opening in the windmill ( y'know, where the ball's supposed to go into ) and try to feel for anything that may be in there.

>Are the other cabins (besides mine and Bootlegger's) off?
I like bananas. They're yellow.
> Are there any unusual footprints?
Hiiii!
> investigate the rest of the cabin. any signs of a break in? (Destiny)

You do see some scratches and marks around the doorknob that would indicate this as a strong possibility.

> inspect the history museum. Does it look like anything was taken from the displays?

The displays look undisturbed.

> Reach inside the opening in the windmill ( y'know, where the ball's supposed to go into ) and try to feel for anything that may be in there.

Nothing suspicious in here.

it is me. awe921, the greatest face in all of koridai

why do they call it oven when you of in the cold food of out hot eat the food
>Are the other cabins (besides mine and Bootlegger's) off? (Mindy)

Nothing obvious, no.

> Are there any unusual footprints?

You find a few more of the (infamous) medium sized footprints than could be explained by the lot of you walking around to investigate, but nothing specific.
Stupid doomed timeline...
Destiny walks around. "Not a ghost; ghosts would disregard the doors. They have no regard for walls, even when possessing the bodies of others. And not a vamp either, from the fact they were clearly the impolite type that wouldn't even let themselves be invited in. The attack's too clean to be one from a lycan, they're the type to use their claws..."

She thinks to the vision from her dreams. "...We could be dealing with one of the divine, or those that were formerly divine. Or maybe we're in one of those weirdo off the grid cannibal towns. Someone should check the woods, figure out how the fuck an axe got here. Because I didn't come in here with an axe, and I don't think any of....hey!

Destiny lights a cigarette, not even looking up as she calls out. "Hey, lumberjack girl. Paul or whatever, you got any enemies?

Zee return to Bootlegger's cabin. Most of the clues seem to be concentrated in that area.

Bunyan and Babe has been following the others just to figure out what's been going on. Oh dear, the murder weapon is an axe. Bunyan has never seen the murder weapon in question but she is a lumberjack, so that's not good timing.

"Oh, I'd just been summoned here yesterday. I haven't upset anyone enough for them to dislike me yet. But that's not my axe, as..."

Babe has already given Bunyan her original axe.

"This is the only axe I have on hand and it was on me when I was summoned. I kept it in my cabin too."

Bunyan shows the others her axe and there isn't anything close to blood on it.
"What other clues do you think we got?" asked Gooble.
Hiiii!
"Well, alien, I'm not out to suspect you just yet. If you were to break in, you'd probably be more smooth about it. We've got signs of a struggle, we've got someone strong enough to swing an axe, but. Hmmm...

> examine the wound on the Bootlegger's neck. How smooth is it? Does it seem like a clean slice, or did it take multiple attempts to wack the head off?

Jimothy skateboards to the crime scene.

Oh no! A tragedy has befallen a fellow human! I should confess, this is not the first time I have been around a murder, but it seems to me that, this time, it is probably more mundane than... whatever happened that last time.

>Find Grunkle Ed. I mean, he's basically the one in charge, right?
hey who turned out the lights?
> Try to get up. These wyvern wing hands are so going to Slip. (Catar)

You slip a few times, but eventually manage it

> Inspects the dead body for any funny business (Victoria)

You're up too, but all you're seeing at the moment is still stars

> examine the wound on the Bootlegger's neck. How smooth is it? Does it seem like a clean slice, or did it take multiple attempts to wack the head off?

It probably didn't go through like butter, it doesn't look like it was completely mangled with a million chops, either

He must be around here somewhere, right? But you walk around in circles and can't seem to find him.

"I'm sure we could get to the bottom of this!"
Hiiii!
"Jimothy, was it? Are you sure looking for the old man's a good idea? He could have done this, too. Anyways...doesn't seem to be anyone exceptionally strong, but also, all the scrawny ass bitches should be clear. Someone average. So remarkable. "

Destiny spits out the butt of her cigarette onto the forest floor. "Fuck, let's see if Ms. Bootlicker or whatever the name was up to last night. Maybe that'll give us a hint.

Hiiii!
I must admit, Destiny, as a human, that my reasoning might sometimes be flawed. But Grunkle Ed seems like a trustworthy guy! I mean, I don't see anything off about him at all, with me experience of notiicng when humans are lying that I definitely have!

But you may have a point, so I shall use my human skills to search for clues.

>Skateboard around and see if I notice anything unusual, odd, or, perhaps, curious.

You don't notice anything that would tell you she was in the middle of anything

Just drag marks

>Skateboard around and see if I notice anything unusual, odd, or, perhaps, curious.

You also notice the drag marks

"So what do we know so far?"
Hiiii!
"Drag marks..." Maple ponders this. "So she was killed in her cabin, then dragged out here. Why?"

>examine the cabin further for any reason why a murderer might not prefer to leave a victim there
