Gooble goes Golfing

1. A river? Gooble has done this with his mother. He makes a makeshift boat out of some leaves, put the ball on it, and turn into a bird and tow it across. Then he turns into his boy form, and just hit it into the hole.

2. Gooble will, again, turn into a small bird and carry the ball into the top, then hit it into the hole.

3. Uh, just try to hit the ball at the correct timing to make sure it bounces off correctly goes through the windmill!

1. A river? Gooble has done this with his mother. He makes a makeshift boat out of some leaves, put the ball on it, and turn into a bird and tow it across. Then he turns into his boy form, and just hit it into the hole.

You manage to make a boat, but it's not the sturdiest, and the currents pull you around a bit at your small size. It takes a couple extra shots to get into the hole but you get it in. (Rolled 3 +2 for clever use of shapeshifting for a total of 5.)

2. Gooble will, again, turn into a small bird and carry the ball into the top, then hit it into the hole.

You hit a gust of wind and fly a bit higher than you planned on, but you drop the ball straight into the hole! (Rolled 10 +1 for shapeshifting for a total of 11.)

3. Uh, just try to hit the ball at the correct timing to make sure it bounces off correctly goes through the windmill!

You make several more ricochets than you intended, eagerly watching the ball until... Right in the hole! (Rolled 10)

Upon catching wind of the challenge, Zee whizz over to the mini golf course.

1) "Fifteen... feet? Ah...

They take a moment to pull what appears to be a Táng-dynasty bronze mirror out of their jacket and are seen pressing its surface repeatedly, as if it were a smartphone, making vaguely frustrated insect noises under their breath as they do so.
"Ah, we see."
This is followed by more insect noises and strange gestures involving their claws, the golf club, and a bunch of holographic projections that appear out of nowhere.
Then a swish of wings, a THWACK, and the ball flies into the air, in the direction of the other riverbank.

2) "Crown..." they mumble, looking up at the trees, "And... a red wood?"
If someone were to listen more closely, they'd notice an added mutter along the lines of "

哎, 这些美国人的怪念头...Āi, zhèxiē měiguórén de guàiniàntóu - Ai, these Americans' odd notions

They once again produce holograms around them, shaping the amber light into complex mathematical equations and, for reasons only known to them, a cute little model of an island, complete with pine trees and a miniature city. Once they're satisfied, the holograms vanish and they get into position.
They hit the ball, but this time they seem to be quivering- no, flapping their wings while doing so, the breeze generated from this action propelling the ball higher.

3) Zee seem especially confounded by this one. They sit down and once again carry out the task of fiddling with holograms and making frustrated bug noises. They eventually decide to forget all that and just hit the ball randomly.

Oh no, I'm not very good at mini golf, despite it being a classic human sport!

Human Golf (TM)

1: Ah! Water! After his panic settles down, Jimothy just... closes his eyes and hits the ball really hard?

2: That's... high... you'd need, like, a UFO abduction beam to get something up there. Not that I'd know for certain, I am human, after all. After some thinking, he just... tries to climb the tree. He's not scared of heights, one day he'd like to go into space! (A thing he has definitely not done before.)

3: So... just go fast here? Jimothy doesn't care about getting under par, he hits the ball wildly, using his skateboard to catch up with it so he can hit it again!

Zee on the Chinese Sports Network

Zee get a 10+1 on the first hole for skill with machinery and attention to detail but lack of strength. They get a 3+1 on the second hole, also for skill with machinery and attention to detail but lack of strength. They get a 2 on the third hole. This gives Zee a final score of 17.

The hologram and the calculations really help in getting the ball over the river! They know exactly the angle they need. And they unexpectedly swing around twice... which offsets their lesser strength. Well done, hole in one.

The calculations are a help in getting the ball up the redwood tree, but are their wings up to the task? A mini-golf ball isn't going to have a lot of drag. It takes a number of tries, and some real effort, to make that shot.

Maybe Zee should've stuck it out with the calculations. Trusting his instincts and letting the ball fly on this technical part of the course doesn't really work out well. The ball goes flying off, but often enough in the wrong direction.

Hitting the ball hard gets it across the river pretty easily, but you still need to cross a bridge and tap it into the hole. (Rolled 7.)

It's still pretty windy out, and you're having a hard time getting ahold of some of the branches. But after a bit you do manage to make it up and get the ball in the hole. (Rolled 4.)

You do go fast on your skateboard. Good thing you don't mind being over par though, since your sick skate tricks make it a bit hard to hit the ball at the right angle. But you do get it in in a few tries! (Rolled 3 +2 for skater skills for a total of 5.)

After Bunyan eventually found the pancakes and ate them all at the cook-out, she stumbled upon the mini-golf course and picked up the golf putter. As she looked at it, she overheard an announcement of a challenge.
"Oh? That sounds fun!"

Bunyan's try

1. Across a 15-foot span of river

This sounds simple enough, so Bunyan hits the golf ball with all of her might, intending to send the ball flying over the river.

2. Straight up into the crown of a mature redwood

"Babe! Can you go over there and catch the ball if it misses?" She asked Babe.

Babe obliges and somehow climbs up the redwood tree in question, positioning himself slightly above the crown. Like the last step, Bunyan swings at the ball with all of her strenght, with Babe there to catch the ball if it misses and place it in the crown.

3. Hitting five different obstacles, then passing through a windmill feature that's turning so that the windmill blades don't stop it from going through.

First things first, Bunyan shifts her height so that she's double the height of the windmill. Then she walks behind it and chops off the rotor (which is where the blades are attached to) with her axe so that they don't get in the way of the golf ball. She dumps the windmill rotor far away from the windmill itself. Then, she prepares to hit the ball, with you guess it, all of her strength, with Babe prepared to make sure the ball hits the five obstacles and passes through the windmill.

Summer and Cherry Go Golfing

1. We'll start simple: across a 15-foot span of river (no bridge)

[Oh, come on, you're making this too simple. Summer simply picks up a club and swings it as hard as she can—which, given her bulky frame, is pretty hard—to launch the golf ball across the river.]

2. Straight up into the crown of a mature redwood

[Ooh. Now this one's a bit tougher. Summer pauses to think for a second... and then, as she catches her reflection in the metal baseball bat slung over her shoulder, an idea strikes her.] "Oi, old man, we're allowed to use our own equipment for this, right?" [She tosses her golf club aside and throws the golf ball high into the air, winding up her bat and swinging it in an attempt to launch the ball into the tree's crown that way.]

[Summer stands at the start of this course, looking a bit caught off-guard by the sudden jump in complexity. Crap, she doesn't have time for this.] "Yo, Val, it's your go!"

"Already? O-okay! I was wondering when I'd get a shot, hah!"

[Cherry picks up Summer's discarded golf club and swings it in a way that the ball launches into the air. Then, once it's airborne, she quickly starts shooting small bolts of lightning from her fingertips to propel the ball so that it hits the obstacles and goes through an opening in the windmill without having to touch the ground until it reaches the hole, whereupon she decides to... slam dunk the ball into it.]

"...Uh. Wrong sport?"

"You used your bat earlier, you have no room to judge!"
