These people were meant to be pitted against each other for riches, actual death was involved, and he'd willingly come for this. This was reminding him of his tenure in that fucking game show, the LAST headspace he wanted to be in right now. At least none of those other six pains in his ass were there, granted.

The prospect of a gang war, however, brought him happiness. War was fun. War meant taking your rage out on buildings and reducing those who fought against you to blood and ash. He considered his own life a war, so getting to experience a real one had his tail wagging. "No problem, laddie. I was born to make heads roll! I think I can already <i>smell</i> the traitors standin' next to me..." He surveyed everyone around him with bared teeth. Ugh, just the sight of them all was pissing him off. He ought to just take them all out right now and knock out two birds with one round of bullets! He began to tap his metallic rabbit's foot against his other limb again.

Gambling, though? It had him bristling a bit again. The idea of gambling enticed him, but he never had the courage to do it. Besides, he'd already gambled his soul in Hell, couldn't that be considered enough gambling for a lifetime?

... Normally, I'd go ahead and say I work alone... but considering how much I have to work with a furry, an edgelord, a simp, and more back home... Look, I don't think it's necessarily a good idea to pretend to like each other, but being all performative about the "I hate you but also I will not kill you" is an excellent way to look ridiculous. But by all means, proceed. Anyhow, I, personally, am interested in how hard I'm going to get shorted on my pay when we get given actual work to do instead of sitting around running up utility bills and staring at large cockroaches. It better not be a Netherlands situation. The Dutch bastard who hired me didn't pay me. Had to do some things to get to that money. Massive mess. Also any one of us could be informing to the police, or some worse group and it's easier and easier to hide wires nowadays. So maybe don't talk about how hard you're going to do crimes.

...I mean, assuming they're even following procedure anymore and waiting for even the vaguest pretext to shoot someone in the face. Frankly, the police could just start shooting at any moment. But we're not going to worry about that right now. Because we're doing things that are completely legal and are working for someone who we know is not necessarily an upstanding citizen but as far as we know is paying us to do legal work and not commit any crimes.

Lindsey returns to house six and goes back inside to finish unpacking and settling in.
