One time I kept getting hospital reminder emails to my serious/professional email (the one with my rl name on it) for someone named Javier. And the only way to have stopped them would be to log in and opt out which of course I couldn't do because I didn't have this Javier person's login info.

...how the hell that got to my email when my name is in the address and is nothing remotely close to Javier I don't know. (If it was one of those "commonphrase@provider.com" type emails I'd just figure Javier had typed gmail instead of yahoo or something but it is not.)

...I wonder if Javier ever noticed "hmm I am not getting emails from the hospital maybe I should log into the patient portal and check that".
