...I still want to know why Z didn't speak up when Jean first said she was Bulletproof. I know it means we're looking at both of them now, but... if Z is telling the truth, they still let one of the cultists go unchallenged making a claim like that.

"Improbable, but not impossible. They could've wanted to get more of us out of the way as early as possible, they could have wanted to ensure they didn't waste their kill if caught... there's a lot of possibilities. Including Jean lying about being bulletproof."

Amy pauses.

"OK, so let's look at Jean and Z, since we know one of them is lying. Z is... mysterious, and saved roleclaiming until just now. Jean has been proven to lie about gender and having the use of magic. Both of these things could be suspicious. Both of them have... some form of magic, allegedly. And people were suspect of Jean even before Z claimed their role."

"I'd like to know more about Z's alleged magic. Just to cover all the bases here."

"As for why I didn't roleclaim back then... to be honest, it was to avoid putting a target on myself. That, and feeling it could be suspicious to claim the same role that soon after... of course. waiting too long would seem even more suspicious, but there you have it.

"As for my "magic", or whatever you wanna call it... I can float, use various fire and lighning powers...once in a while I can even slow down the world around me for a while and make it move choppily as if the framerates dropped. Guess that's it for what can qualify as "magic"...

"Good point... but I was thinking this could be a plan to lure out the real Bulletproof early on, to get rid of their protection early on."

...I get that it's scary. But if what you're saying is true, it's still letting a cultist get away. Every cultist gone is us closer to getting out of here. And the rest of us? Don't have bulletproof protection either. It's gone, you're just as vulnerable as the rest of us, and you wouldn't have a role that harms them. In fact, if I were a cultist, I wouldn't go after a known Bulletproof at all. I'd be wasting a shot.

"Yeah, claiming a role can be dangerous. Whether the truth or not... if it's the truth, then that gives the cultists more information. If not... well, you'll probably be caught in the lie eventually. Whether you slip up, whether somebody's got a way to confirm one way or the other... I guess that's why I've been surprised to see so many people doing it."

I get it, I get it... Lloyd might still be alive today if he hadn't tried so hard to defend Chip by claiming he was the jailer...

...So, I'm thinking. About the bone chips where Soul was. Now, that could be natural. But what if someone else used their skeleton while they were sleeping, as a kind of voodoo doll? Or the Soul could be in on it, but, well...

Still. Would still have to be someone with knowledge of magic, right? But it could still be Jean. They've been accusing Chip since the beginning, have definitely been hiding things, and either she or Z are lying about being Bulletproof.

...Which, if she was guessing there that it wasn't taken, that's a big risk, somebody could call her out, as Z has.

"There's a lot of things to look at, yeah. Including taking the other days into consideration. The brown hair that was found by Freddy, people's role claims from yesterday. Even looking at the way people acted on the first day when we found Sericle dead."

Amy decides to go get a snack, because wow she realizes all she's had since the pasta the other day was coffee. She's pondering this all the whole time, trying to remember who all tried voting, roleclaiming, etc. over the past few days and if there's anything that stands out other than two people claiming to be bulletproof...

Nellie sighs, and also decides to get something to eat, because he really hasn't had anything to eat for the last couple of days, and a snack would probably make him think better.

Good points, Amy. I don't think I was paying much attention when Jean said her role the first time... was in defense of Kondraki?

Does anyone have anything else they'd like to add? Or defend themselves?

Amy grabs some of the nuts and beef jerky and heads back out of the kitchen.

"I think Jean said someone had tried to visit her with the intent to kill, then revealed her role. And later... I think she accused Kondraki? I might be getting things mixed up, but that's what I remember. I think."

She tried to remember the previous day, who said what and when.

"Okay, so the way I see it there's one of two things that could be happening. One, Jean is lying and trying to throw people under the bus because she knows people are suspicious of her, and Z is bulletproof. Or two, Jean was telling the truth about everything and Z is taking advantage of people's suspicions of Jean to falsely claim a role and throw Jean under the bus. Unfortunately, as of now we've got no way to prove either of these things, do we?"

Nellie chows down on a variety of mixed fruits and vegetables. Feeling refreshed, the angel does a variety of stretches before returning back to the investigation.

"Just saying, but the fact that Z claimed to be the bulletproof as soon as people started to vote for Jean sounds a bit suspicious to me. Why was she waiting to dispute Jean's claims until people started to vote for Jean?"

...Not really. I was going over yesterday. Yeah, the... saying someone visited Jean with intent to kill seemed to come out of nowhere, didn't it? There wasn't really any... reason she needed to do that nor was it defending anybody.

...She did seem rather eager to say there was no way to figure out the actual murderer, though and... then went along with thinking it was Kondraki? *shrug* I'm going to do one more sweep of the place to see if there's anything else I can figure out that we missed.
