Frankie walks in front to bar her way from escaping.

Well. Are those your last words, Claire? Or have you anything else to say?

...I agree. Terribly wasteful. But the zombie or zombies are creating more dead bodies and wasting the minds of the people inhabiting them.

...And wasting their dead... minds, brains... by not even using them for food, but we won't get into that.

Claire's Execution

Frankie finally finds her tranquilizer gun – it was thown into the ocean, just like the axe. As she goes to clean it off, it misfires. There seems to have been a rock stuck in the barrel. That wouldn't have been terrible – Frankie isn't pointing it at anyone. But the rock hits the stump of the tree, and ricochets... straight into Claire's brain.

Ooh. I know she was just sentenced to execution, but that. She had a really bad break there.

Frankie is alarmed, and runs over to check on Claire. She didn't mean to... Something about the brains makes Frankie look closer, though. She can confirm it... Claire was a ZOMBIE.

[Cassie]

"[straining]"

"Goddammit you should've looked away, Bob!"

Stuart gets Bob away from the execution place before the latter loses it.

[X had already retreated to his cabin long before the execution. Poor kid does not wanna deal with death, undeath, and... whatever the fuck killing a zombie counts as. Re-death?]

Sayaka sighs with relief as Claire is revealed to be a zombie, having held her breath up until now.

"You can rest easy now, Tina," she says with a sad smile as she looks up at the sky.

"Dang, they were a zombie?! They are so not going to eat any brains today."

"A gruesome end... if only there was some way to undo these accursed bites, since they are clearly not totally braindead! As for your plan, sir Frankie..."

He was literally just eating food during Tina's body discovery stuff (or rather, I was offline and it would be weird to walk in late), but clearly doesn't have much empathy for the zombies' deaths. He's not even aware of it himself...

He also starts to scribble on another parchment from his pocket. Nobody's gonna question it, I bet, but he's certainly got at least a month's worth of letters' worth.

"We got another zombie!" exclaimed Kirby.

"Another one down. But more people could be infected!" said Ribbon.

"Exactly! We'll find any zombies that try to get us and our teammates!" said Kirby. "And maybe i'll get a snack later!"

"Hey... guys? I just wanna say... thanks for believing me. I'm glad I'm still here, and I'm glad we avenged Tina. Hopefully we can leave this place soon without anyone else turning into zombies..."

[Dookie]

“Yes! The zombies are down! We're three days in and we've killed 2 of em!”

[Florien]

Ah, see, we were right.

Claire was one of them.

But Sayaka is also highly suspicious.

We should keep an eye on her this night.

Charles, although relieved to see that they had managed to get rid of a zombiefied ally, felt like Sayaka was still a bit suspicious, so he said this: "Well, if it'll help clear all this up about her, I'm willing to stay with Sayaka tonight. Would that be okay?"

Yes. You're also mildly suspicious, so you and Sayaka should be locked in a room together.

That way, when one of you turns up dead, it'll be the other who did it.

Good plan.
