"Mis...misconception? Oh, did um... did you not get the escape room r...ready yet so we're doing some um, some trivia or something instead?"

Tonya felt quite anxious, and was trying to reassure herself this was something simple. Different games than she was expecting, the game show wouldn't be televised, something like that.

"Well the truth is, you're all trapped here. And you won't be seeing any escape rooms anytime soon. You'll still be playing Decrypto, just not the way it was described."
Ruby gives a mischievous smirk before returning to the announcement.  
 "So I'll explain the new rules for the game."

"T...trapped? Why?"

Tonya... probably didn't want the answer to that.

"So, does anyone know of that one spaceship game? Or those town games? No? Ok I'll explain from the beginning."

"So, each of you have an assigned role, correct? Well, according to that role, you are either Good, Scum, or Neutral. In order to escape, you have to complete your win condition. The win condition for the good team is to eliminate all members of scum. Vice versa for Scum team. All roles will be explained in the pamphlet that I'll give you."

"So here's how the game works. once we have dinner, the first Night Phase will begin. During the Night Phase, any roles with a Night Action can complete that action at that time. After the sun rises again, we'll eat breakfast, find out what happened during the night, have a meeting on who you think is suspicious, and you'll have some time to yourselves! Oh, and you HAVE to play along, we have ways of making you comply."

Ruby hands everyone a pamphlet. 

"Any questions?"

Good Team Roles
Investigator: has the ability to accuse someone at night, their accusation will be revealed anonymously during meetings.
Psychic: has the ability to check a player's role at night to see if they're evil.
Medic: can save anyone at night. If their target was also a target of the murderer, the target will be saved.
Vigilante: has the ability to shoot a player at night up to three times, however, if you shoot an innocent person, you have to put your gun away for the rest of the game.

Scum Team Roles
Murderer: has the ability to kill one player per night.
Attorney: at night chooses a player to protect from elimination. Cannot be used on the same person twice.
Seer: has the ability to check a player's role at night to see their exact role.
Bomber: can set down a bomb in a players room, killing anyone that visits them. Can only be used once.

Neutral Roles
Twins: has no special abilities, but if something happens to your twin, the same will happen to you. Wins by living to the end of the game.
Fool: has no special abilities at first, but when eliminated, can haunt a player the next night. Wins by being eliminated.
Survivor: can use a bulletproof vest to protect themselves up to three times. Wins by living to the end of the game.
Assassin: can assassinate a player once a game, but has a percentage of failure. If successful, the target cannot be saved. Wins by successfully killing another player.

Frankie pales when Ruby says "ways of making you comply". Then she reads the pamphlet. She looks glum. Yeah, I... understand it.

Tonya just goes really pale and nods.

"I'm fam...familiar, um, with the c...concept..."

...she also vows to herself never to sign up for a game show again.

Lance is taken aback by Ruby. Here he was thinking he could come here for some nice rest and relaxation after all the busy workings of the crime world of Vice City, but now here he was, once again fighting for his life.

What makes you think I'm gonna comply?

He draws his gun and aims it right at Ruby's head.

All I came here for is to relax, and now you're gonna make us fight for our lives? Give me one good reason why I shouldn't pop a bullet into your brain now!

Ruby tries to take a step back from Lance to reposition herself. 

"Are you sure you want to do that? We don't take people who harm our staff lightly."

Cirno says this as she realizes this whole thing is a killing game... As if she's done this before...

Lance screams in frustration as he shoots the floor just a few inches away from Ruby before putting back his gun.

Fine! But you better hope I die here, because I know people. People who can deal with you, make you disappear. Just remember who you're messin' with, girl.

"Oh um. I um... I d... I don't think you're um, s...supposed to do that..."

Tonya is just gonna... go to the side of the room furthest away from Lance now.

"So this was all false advertising? Instead of an escape room, it's some kind of killing game? Well... challenge accepted! I'll be sure to survive this, and you'll all see how great my skills are!

"....Wait, so, this is just a game, right? No ACTUAL, real killing? Or..." This suddenly feels all too familiar to him, somehow.

Ivi looks at the pamphlet, before staring back at Ruby. "So, you tried to fraud us for your own gain?! That...that's just disgusting!! What so called "ways" do you have to make us comply?! I'm not buying it!

And just when me and Frankie got out of ANOTHER game show murdergame...

I got the feelin' she's more powerful than she lets on. Bet she'll find some ways... Lance says to Ivi.

"Seriously, fuck you to the tumultuous heavens," Hitomi says, crushing the pamphlet in her hand. "I'll play your stupid killing game. But when it's over, I'll make you regret it."

"Little girl? You might have connections back in Vice City, but I've got loyal members all over the globe that will be willing to kidnap, to torture, to betray, to kill for our leader's entertainment. You're lucky you called all shots off."

Lance swears angrily to himself over Ruby's threat. And while he's usually impulsive, this time he had the gut feeling Ruby is not someone to be trifled with.

OK, fine. I'll play along.

[Kennifer]

"I g...guess I better um, try... try and figure out who, er, who I can tr...trust... That's um. Probably easier said than, than done..."

Especially considering how in her previous murdergame the killer had been a PINK BUNNY... and the guy who was literally from hell was an ally, albeit one with a... hellish fashion sense.

Yeah, no kidding, Cirno. A supposed game show and all. I really don't like these. ...And before I met you I was in a situation with a deadly computer virus which was making some of us kill others. I was sure I got creamed there before I could discover who it was.
