"I am in a similar position. I too would like access to the lake, if only to set up some naval forces to protect myself. I feel I either have the advantage of being able to expand in multiple directions and the disadvantage of having to withstand attacks from multiple directions. Obviously the former is preferable to me, and I would absolutely be willing to work with people in order to be able to secure lands I might want and prevent that I already own from being seized.
