Well, the reasoning is as follows. If Lavender detects one scum, we get some information, but not a large amount. BUT! If Lavender detects two scum on them, that means Point is clear, because she cleared me, and she probably wouldn't do that if she was scum unless I was. If Lavender detects three scum, we eliminate Smily, MP, Matthew, and Knife, because Kennifer is only suspicious if Point is Scum, and Point could not be scum in the three-detected scenario.
Oh and if they detect zero scum, it's probably Whistle, Nebula, CG.
Of course, this all relies on Lavender surviving the night. So I'm probably going to protect them this night, but don't take my word for it, I might do something else as part of a cunning trick to eliminate a scum first night phase.
