Actually, Lars brings up an interesting point. Libre could not have known he was going to get framed, so why choose to destroy the knife and gun, and why choose to do it at night? Would it not be better to do it in view of other people, so that it would be obvious that those weapons had not been used due to their destroyed nature? Instead, we find them the next day, mysteriously broken, next to a dead body.
