It doesn't. Yet. It's one piece of evidence to add to the pile. Some of them, maybe even all of them, are certainly ones afraid that if we try to convict today, we'll get an innocent. Which is a valid concern. Like I said, I haven't voted yet, myself. But some of them could be trying to cut things off prematurely so there's no chance anyone will do anything... compromising. Subtly or not.
