It's a thingcolorpattern. Like red plaid and blue stripes.

And it came about because... I'm not entirely sure why. Because I had made "red plaid" a thingcolor for god knows what reason and...I just really like purple argyle.

So thus, it's a thing now. Or it's a thing since... uh... whenever the hell it was I made it a thing. Been a few years now.

also blue stripes only became a thingcolorpattern because I needed a new one and I happened to be wearing a blue striped sweater at the time so it was like

"blue stripes... yeah ok that works it's a thing now"

...and I don't remember what it was I decided I needed it for but whatever.
