Because of this, we think that you were the intended target for the cultists last night before Kondraki managed to save you by swapping you with Z. Because of this and the fact that masons can't visit people, Malakhiri is looking pretty suspicious right now... although that also makes the echidna suspicious assuming that Malakhiri is indeed telling the truth... but we don't know who is telling the truth and who is lying. Ah, if this was only easier to solve..." Nellie lets out a frustrated sigh.

IT'S EASY TO SOLVE! MITSUHA CAN VOUCH FOR ME! But you keep refusing to take her word for it, because of course, her word is worth the same as mine in your minds, because you're suspicious of our masonic lodge and our whole "keep to ourselves and visit no one" thing. Knuckles is LYING! IT'S MUCH MORE PLAUSIBLE that I'm innocent than Knuckles being innocent.

"We have three candidates for the Unjester and the Rolecop, then: Amy, and the liar between Knuckles and Malakhiri. Mitsuha's got no merit, but Knuckles doesn't have much better support. He could have guessed about me not visiting Malakhiri that night just to give me flak. So we have a few possibilities.

If Knuckles is lying, which is still less likely, then we can't trust what he said this night. This also means Malakhiri and Mitsuha aren't off the hook, but they can't be confirmed any more than the rest of us.

If Malakhiri is lying, then they're likely a Rolecop. Why they would try to confirm Z's role seems obvious. If they're an Unjester, which seems unlikely, or at least illogical, then Amy is the true Rolecop, although this leaves Mitsuha unexplained.

We could prove any of their innocences with two more nights, which we can't afford, unless we use the Investigator. Now, this is where an important gambit begins. We can swap Amy and Red, to throw off the kill. If Any gets targeted, it's a win-win, so Kondraki will have to choose whether to swap them. Red, if you truly are the Investigator, then target Knuckles and Amy, checking for Watcher and Rolecop. That'll tell us everything.

...of course, that all assumes they don't just target me again. If I do die..." ...but she doesn't complete that sentence.

"I suppose that I'll ask Knuckles to visit myself. Then, we'll have another accusation to work with. I'll visit Red, then, in case he's actually the Wannabee, as well.

...this whole plan will help uncover the assignments of 5 of us, while 4 others, counting the couple as one, can be trusted. It's confusing enough where I'll give you a summary.

Red investigates Knuckles and Amy for Watcher or Rolecop.
Knuckles watches me.
I Stalk Red.
Kondraki switches, or doesn't switch Red and Amy.
Amy can visit whomever seems to be a Gunner, I suppose.
Blue, I don't think you can help us here.
Malakhiri and Mitsuha stay Masons...
Ghostie, I don't think you should try, tonight...
Nellie and Z, just sit tight.
Chip and Ada, give fruit to Z, perhaps, to see where it ends up. It's not necessary, though.
In the event Red dies, the Coroner should check his role. I should be able to gauge his alignment, though.
In the event I die, Knuckles can see who did the deed, assuming he's on our side. Red should be able to deduce that.
In the event anyone else dies... Maybe we can clear up what their deaths entail later.
If no one dies, we've either got the Commuter dodging, a night of inactivity, the least likely, or Red's the newest member."

I have no objections to this plan. It seems sound enough, and you'll see who the real threat is here by it.

Pay attention, Z. Red was the amnesiac, but could pick up any role he pleased from among the dead and damned. He could have picked up Wannabe, and decided to pretend to be the investigator for sake of not immediately being executed.

Malakhiri says this with some smug satisfaction.

Right. You don't need to swap Red, Kondraki. You need to either Switch Red and Amy or switch no one in the plan, because that way the retributors can't deprive us of our investigator (or flip a potential Wannabe) without risking hitting the unjester, which they assuredly wouldn't want. Oh, also, since you like this plan... could you retract your vote on me, please? I don't like having the arc compass hanging over me like this.

Red fell asleep halfway through the Plan, and only wakes to hear that there is a plan.

Right, good, Red agrees with the plan. When he wants to begin, he can use his wisdom to skip the vote, along with everyone else, then investigate Knuckles and Mitsuha, and vindicate me. HIS NOBLE VOICE SHALL NOT BE SILENCED! If it is, it will be a sad day for the world to not have such wisdom in it.

Malakhiri emphasizes their point with a swirl of their cloak and a dramatic pointing of their finger.

You have to consider that Knuckles may be spreading misinformation. Why did he take so long to speak up when he could- and should- have condemned Malakhiri much faster? This feels incorrect.

And if Malakhiri is right -- which I'm skeptical about, by the way -- Lotus is on the side of the Cultists. Why would she give a plan that would uncover her eventually? If he's not right, he's a Cultist himself and we're completely correct in executing him. And if he's a Cultist, we know Mitsuha must be one, too. We'll only have to hunt for one more.
