[X leaps a solid foot or two in the air, startled by Blaine's frantic knife maneuvers.] "S-sir! That's what I said, right?! There's a kidnapping case we need to resolve first! Then we can leave when the boat gets here! I'm...! Really hoping he overshot the estimate for how long it'll take to get here!"

Tina just... groans a bit, but says nothing.

Oh, hey. Buck up. It's not the end of the world. You're all still alive. Act like it.

Amelia starts handing out some hot chocolate. Some with a bit of a punch, for the older employees, if they want.

Good to see you're gettin' with the program... Blaine says to X, And I heard what you said under your breath. We run a tight ship here. You're stuck for the week.

Blaine takes some of the hot chocolate with the punch.

Yeah... still alive... for now... that is, if a zombie doesn't suck the brains outta your head. And until that happens, you can all make yourselves useful.

He sips on the cocoa.

Sayaka quietly takes her hot cocoa, but doesn't drink any of it. She's really starting to doubt that she'll leave this island alive... especially since she's on the suspect list right now...

[X takes the (non-alcoholic, since he's underage no matter which way you look at his age) hot chocolate, but doesn't drink any of it right away. He figures he'll probably burn his tongue on it.

...And he just realizes he's burning his hands. Ow.]

And so it begins... Blaine says as he pulls out his knife and sticks it inside a tree. None of you are goin' anywhere. You all signed up for this job and you're all gonna stay here until it's done. This is what you all signed up for and if you all don't like, you shoulda thought of that before you applied here. You all gonna start actin' like babies here? Cry to your mommy, maybe she'll come by and make you all feel better? HELL NO! It's just me and Amelia until she leaves. And we're gonna recover our boss and get that damn Victoria off our asses. So quit ya boo-hooin' and send us the plans if you all haven't do so already. And don't cry anymore because I'm not gonna take it.

He pulls out the knife from the tree and brandishes it at everyone.

And I strongly urge you all not to fuck with me.

He puts his knife back.

During all this time, Eyja just listens to what everyone's being saying, as well as introducing herself to X and Calvin. When Blaine makes his rant, Eyja thinks inside of herself, "I hope I can make it out alive... There's still much that's yet to be discovered in Terra,... and I don't want to die before they're discovered. And mom? But she's already..."

Amelia then starts handing some hot chocolate. As Eyja is also underage, her drink is non-alcoholic. She waits for her drink to at least be a little bit warmer, knowing how hot they are from her sense of heat alone.

Tina takes the mug of cocoa, blowing over it to cool it down a bit before taking a sip. She thinks about how Gene would probably just gulp it down and burn his tongue or something, and tries not to get sad thinking about how much she misses her siblings.

Kirby sees the newcomer, X, and hears Bllaine's speech. He then says
"Hey, i know you all miss home, but there's not much we can do now, poyo! We've got a researcher to save! And we'll make sure those zombies won't eating us tonight!"
Ribbon then says"Are you sure we'll be okay?"
"There's nothing the Hero of Dream Land can't solve!" said Kirby. "But first..."
Kirby and Ribbon receive the hot chocolates from Amilia. They drink it.
"Yummy!"

"Yeah, you're right," says Sayaka as she gingerly begins to drink her hot cocoa. "We shouldn't give up! And if I die here, then I hope it won't be in vain!"

Stuart takes two cups of hot cocoa, giving one to Bob so that both can have it.

[Iceberg simply waves at the new guys, not really caring much about them. He simply notes some things while drinking his hot choco/punch combo of sorts.]

Ignatius wasn't planning on leaving. Or rather, he was definitely planning on leaving, but he wasn't going to let that weakness show, especially not when the guy is about to slash you into pieces. Either way, he contemplates whether to drink the sweet ambrosia in the middle of the summer. Why hot cocoa!? All you've done is given him a dilemma.

Amelia looks around at some of the people being careful with their drinks because it's hot. Yeah, I know they're hot. And it's hot out. But, hey, boiling kills viruses, and so does the booze. If an infected fly got into your drink... I know it's not likely, but better safe, right?
