The Void

"I'm good with, well... Anywhere but here, after somebody died."

Amanda's hair has now shifted to a pitch black.

From the distance, you can hear a young woman muttering. "Anywhere but fucking here. I don't deserve thi-"

The woman emerges, seeing the group. She's dressed like a porcelain doll, with a light blue dress with gold accents. Protecting it is a fancy apron-vest thing made of dark blue fabric., with thigh high boots and fishnets. Her most distinctive trait, however, is her coiled light blue hair with dark blue and gold colored streaks. "Wh-other people?! Other people! Oh, thank god! Hi there! How are you! Isn't this place so nice?!"

[Kennifer]

"Ooh, your hair is awesome, I should try something like that with mine sometime. I'm Amanda."

She smiled a bit at the newcomer, at least this would help get her mind off the trash fairy.

The woman also notices the trash fairy. She quickly looks away, and gives Amanda a big smile. Oh! Yeah, thanks! My hair is great, yeah, I just got it touched up! It's fun to have coils! But anyways, names, right! The name's Maki Kisugi! Nice to meet you!

Maki offers a handshake to Amanda, smiling wildly at the others while on her tip toes.

Amanda shakes Maki's hand with a smile. "Great meeting you too! Even if it is in a weird place like this."

Maki seems to jump a bit, in happiness. Thanks! What is this place, anyway? Just woke up here, got lost....it sucked!

[Kennifer]

"Some kind of weird... void place. I kinda liked it until people started dying in here, and now it's... scary."

Maki smiles...and then her eyes widen. Wait, people die here?! Back up! What the hell?!

"Yeah. People fall off the edge into the abyss, or get crushed by rocks... same manners of death as in the regular world, I guess."

[Cassie]

(OOC: Trash fairy's gone by the time Maki's here, Knife.)

"Ronnie fell down to his death after drinking too much of...whatever he drank, Pecan, a child, her life gave out despite our attempts to save her from being crushed by a rock. Henka, the trash fairy, got knocked off to the void of this place after getting slammed by a volleyball." Chris answers.

"Honestly good riddance that that trash fairy's gone. Grating little gremlin."

[Kennifer]

"It was fun until I realized I could feasibly fall off the edge of one of these islands. I... Really really don't like gravity."

[MadameButterflyKnife]

Maki stares, wide eyed. Oh no....I'm so sorry! That's awful! Why the hell would anyone be here?! Why am I here?! Seriously, my mom's probably worried sick! And my friends!

[Kennifer]

"I'm guessing the Random Number Gods sent me here. Uh, that sounds weird... let's just say I've got incredibly fucked-up luck and that resulted in me ending up here somehow."

Amanda chuckles lightly. She twirls a piece of hair around here finger and oop now she's got a curly white bit in her otherwise-black hair.

Maki laughs along with Amanda. Oh, come on! Your luck can't be that bad! And don't worry! My luck is great; as long as you're with me?! Nothing bad can happen! She hugs Amanda close with one arm, still smiling.

[Kennifer]

Amanda grins. "Let's hope your luck rubs off on me rather than mine rubbing off on you, then."

Alright! You guys seem cool! I'm so glad I met you guys! She looks around. Anyways, you said something about a hotel?! We should go! Let's go get there!

[Cassie]

"Name's Chris, by the way." She jots down some stuff regarding Maki.

"First thought people here would likely die depending on how redeemable they are here...but...in retrospect, I'm unsure."

Maki nods along, before... Hey wait, redeemable?! What does that mean?!

[Kennifer]

"You seem really cool, too!"

Amanda smiles.

"And yeah... I don't know how it works but I sure hope I'm redeemable, whatever that means. I mean, I'm not THAT bad a person, just... clumsy and unlucky."

[Cassie]

Hey wait, redeemable?! What does that mean?!

"It's the ones who did their best behaviour who have the best chances to make it out of this alive. Those who behaved badly would meet their life's end here...but I'm not so sure about that, since while Henka started acting shittily after being good to us, Pecan didn't seem to have done anything bad, but Bethany insisted that she must die because "the Void told her to"."

...Okay! I can do that! So just, be nice? That seems easy enough! But uh..."redeemable" implies that you have to redeem yourself from something?!

Maki makes a confused look at Chris and Amanda.

[Kennifer]

Amanda just shrugs.

"I dunno. Maybe I've got to... go up and down stairs without falling, or improve my luck or something? I'd ask Bethany but I'm kinda scared of her."

[MadameButterflyKnife]

Bethany, huh?! She sounds like an asshole, from what you're telling me! Trust me, I won't make you feel like that at all! Why does she scare you? Does she threaten you or anything?

[Kennifer]

"No, just... not doing anything to help people who died here because she said the Void wanted them to. She doesn't seem to think I deserve to die yet but... that's pretty jarring, you know?"

Amanda gulped; was this statement going to count against her, she wondered?

Maki looks, confused. ...So she's someone who doesn't want to help you? Doesn't want to help us?! That's just...mean! Awful! Bad!

She balls her hands into fists. Have you tried talking to her about it?! You should!
