This is the sign-up thread for my upcoming roleplay, titled, "The Trouble Cube Tournament Arc!" It's exactly what it says on the tin: a player vs. player fighting tournament roleplay. Fights will happen one at a time, while the uninvolved players watch, commentate, and interact with one another.

You can sign up as any character (or, perhaps, a duo or trio, if you want to), as long as you keep them within a reasonable power level. Give your opponents a sporting chance, will you?

I'm hoping to get at least 8 players, but I am 100% allowing room for more. I'll leave signups open for a week (likely closing at 16/7, 1 PM GMT).

Backstory: She's a modest, multitalented singer and aspiring idol from Hololive Productions. Following a vicious Traitor run in a game of Project Winter, she gained a reputation for remorseless psychopathy underneath her polite, sweet facade.
Abilities:

• An Axe to Grind: If she's not wielding any ranged weapons, she usually resorts to an axe.
  
• Rifle Meister: She can wield ranged weapons greatly, especially rifle-based firearms.
  
• Combat Paranoia Fuel: Her preceeding reputation which she exploits, combined with her usually working alone, means that regardless of whose side she's in, she's gonna induce paranoia if she's in the arena.
  

Other: She may look human, but she claims that her species is "idol". She also claims that she ages once every 250 years. Whether this is true is unknown.

Appearance: A teenaged girl with shaggy brown hair, freckles across her nose, white t-shirt, blue jeans and sneakers. Picture is below.

Backstory: Mindy is a 14-year old coming from Brooklyn, NY, whom a few years ago, was involved in a near-fatal accident when a truck hauling radioactive waste crashed as she was walking to school, making a barrel fly and hit her. She was in a coma for several months but pulled through. But leaving her with pyrokinetic abilities, making fire come from her hands. She has the front of a rough-and-tough and brash girl who has gotten into several fights and as such, can easily hold her own. Underneath that tough exterior is someone who cares deeply about her family and friends.

Abilities:

* Knuckle Sandwich Flambe: She can give someone a nice, mean hook that not only packs quite a punch (no pun intended) but can also leave some nasty burns. Better stop, drop and roll after she hits you!

* Feisty Fireball: She can shoot out a fireball created with her hands which is decently sized and leave those feeling the burn!

* Brooklyn Battering: She doesn't just need her fiery abilities to kick ass. She also has speed to her advantage as she can give you several quick, but painful jabs in a matter of seconds that can leave one pretty bruised. Greetings from Brooklyn.

BACKSTORY: I was just minding my own business serving Homeworld when the Rebellion started up. And then I was defeated one too many times by those Crystal Gems, ugh. I'll never forgive them for forcing me to hide from Homeworld since then (The Diamonds did not look too pleased with my failures). However, I've been training myself to improve my combat capabilities, and when I found out about this 'event', I decided to use it to see whether I'm ready to face the Diamonds again or not. I will not let failure slide.

ABILITIES

I am capable of wielding ice-related abilities, such as what you call Cryokinesis. I can wield it in these ways:

• Frosty Gloves - I can create gloves out of ice on my own hands, giving them extra punching power.
  
• Blizzard Blast - Yes, I can cause blizzards. But that's the only thing I can do in terms of controlling the weather.
  
• CryoCombat - Humans tend to call this "Cryokinetic Combat", which means I can use my 'Cryokinesis' when fighting others.
  

I happen to have two additional abilities, the first of which is my Enhanced Memory - I never forget a thing, because I can't. The second one is my Enhanced Sense of Smell - I can literally sniff out my opponent's location as long as they are within 10 meters from me.

OTHER: I happen to possess what you humans call a 'Kryptonite Factor', which for me, happens to be ducks. Seriously, being near one actually weakens me, and I DON'T LIKE THAT! It's why I avoid Earth - They're small, they're fast, and they bite, ok?!

Born to Drake and Lisa Monty Amelia was the 3rd eldest child with three younger siblings. When she was old enough she attended a school for her race of vampires until she turned 16 and moved because her family's business had to move locations. There she met and befriended Vanessa (Dhampir), Tyn (Sparkling), Rin (Monster), Warner (Human) and Harden (Monster Hunter) and formed the Vampiric Gang. Some time afterwards they met and fell in love with Kit the heir to her family's rival company they soon began dating and then revealed it to their parents and shortly engaged after the fact. Some point her big sister Elijah got divorced after finding out her husband was cheating on her so Amelia and her big brother Razor went and beat him up and taught him a lesson. She approved of her big sister dating Kohl, an average working class man seeing he was faithful. She is currently attending Galaxy High School with her friends. She is of the Red Vampire Race. Her preferred form of combat is to use her claws and blinding speed to slash foes apart.

Red Charm:allows her to force people to do her bidding (she's not going to use it because she's to nice for that)

Wolverine Claws:she can extend claws from hands that can cut through skin somewhat crudely

She doesn't have the typical weakness of a vampire. She also has the mental capacity of a very dumb and gullible person.

Name: Isoe Santos

Appearance:

Backstory: Isoe Santos is a 19 year old boy who used to work at a scrap metal processing plant. Every day, he would go out, find old devices and machinery, bring them to the scrap yard, and take them apart to be resold. He made a good living off of it, and was able to provide well for his family. One day, he found a large device in an abandoned science facility with a glowing blue core. Amazed by it, he began showing it off to his friends and family, as if it was magic. He even had a little party with some co-workers, where he then proceeded to eat the glowing blue substance on a dare.

The glowing blue substance was plutonium.

What happened afterwards was expected. Isoe died painfully of radiation poisoning, his loved ones all got quarantined and hospitalized, the works. Somehow, though, Isoe returned back to life. He's not exactly sure how, but he's now in this state of undeath, trying to make the most of this second chance at life, and atone for what he'd done with the plutonium incident.

Abilities: (Use the format below)

• Light 'Em Up: Isoe shoots a bright blue light from his eyes, temporarily blinding his opponent, and leaving a bit of a sunburn.

• Fission Flare: Isoe can create a blade out of blue flame, using it as a melee weapon against others, leaving both a burn and a slice.

• RadioAction: Isoe creates a wave of energy, and shoots it at others. It doesn't leave a permanent or physical mark, but it does leave the opponent nauseous and tired for a minute or so.

Other: When not fixated on battle, Isoe is a really upbeat, social dude. Like, maybe a bit too social. Talks like this.

[Dookie]

* Name: Sparks, the Wonder-Dog. (Comprised of August & Charlie)

* Appearance:

* Backstory: Sparks is a robotic dog comprised of cats August and Charlie. After meeting in a shelter, they built the dog, with August as the inventor and Charlie as the pilot. August is stern, but nice, and Charlie is carefree, but smart. They portray themselves as a dog to seem more heroic, to make people respect them more.

* Abilities:

* Lick of Distraction: Spakrs Can lick others using a distraction lick. Once done, this puts the person who has been licked into a sort of haze for a few seconds, which is enough time to attack.

* Urintrouble:Spakrs Can release foam through a sensor near his “croutch” area. This is a fire extinguisher, which can take away air when applied to people, or can easily distract.

* Bad Nail Day: Sparks also has sharp claws. They're really sharp.

* Other: Both Charlie & August will make comments. Charlie speaks in white while August speaks in blue.

Name: Ariamine Temerity

Appearance:    

Backstory: Long ago, there was an ancient organization who worshipped a demon slated to bring the end of times. Under the light of the moon, the members of the cult worked hard to prepare the way for their dark lord to come to this plane of existence and wreak havoc. It was going perfectly... until someone accidentally brought their five-year-old daughter one night, who proceeded to vandalize their summoning sigil while the others weren't paying attention. The day after, the young Ariamine Temerity stood above a pink-colored pentagram decorated with flowers and candies, carrying a comically oversized lollipop.

...The cult mysteriously vanished from the face of the earth soon afterwards. No one knows why, not even Ariamine itself. And that was what, two, three aeons ago? Now it just goes around pranking any unsuspecting mortal it comes across. And yes, that includes getting into fights.

Abilities:

• Sweet Spot: Ariamine jabs the end of its lollipop stick into a pressure point or near a vital area, momentarily stunning the opponent. It usually follows up with a swing of the wide end of the lolly, knocking the opponent backwards like a baseball.
  
• Tail Whip: Ariamine lashes the opponent several times in quick succession with its pointy tail. Not very damaging, but leaves cuts that can make follow-up attacks sting more.
  
• Pop Rocks: Ariamine reaches under its cloak and scatters 3-10 (it varies each time) small, candy-shaped bombs within a short radius. The bombs explode upon contact with anything, and anyone caught in an explosion will become sticky and have their movement speed reduced.

• Name: Elise
  
• Appearance: Here
  
• Backstory: A normal-ish girl in a normal-ish world, right up until she heard a curious teal voice in her head offering to give her magical powers.
  
• Abilities:
  • Spellcrafting: By a vaguely-defined process, she can invent new spells. A spell always does what she designs it to do and not any other thing, though she can design it with a broad range of functions at the cost of making it harder to use (since she has to pick one on the spot every cast). Spellcrafting takes a substantial amount of downtime, so Elise will be able to invent at most one new spell in each between-rounds time. Possibly less, depending on how fast this tournament goes.
    
  • Slice: Short-ranged attack spell. Not that powerful, but can be spammed easily. If you've played The World Ends With You, this is basically the Shockwave psych.
    
  • Snipe: Long-ranged attack spell. Slightly slower than Slice. Think Nexus Ray, but not quite as slow -- or as powerful.
    
  • Blink: Short-ranged fast teleport. The kind you can use in combat. Very draining, can't be spammed long before she wears herself out.
    
  • Warp: Long-ranged slow teleport. The kind you use to travel. Probably not gonna be useful in the fights.
    
  • Fly: Grants her magical flight for about ten minutes. For the purposes of the tournament, she's invented a nerfed version that doesn't let her ascend outside the bounds of the combat arena, however the tournament organizers have defined that. Banned by the tournament organizers.
    
  • Lunar Barrier: Shield spell. Guaranteed to protect from at least one more hit, as long as it has energy left -- though most serious attacks will pop it in one shot.
    
  • Solar Heal: Healing spell. Given that this tournament is an organized and sanctioned competition, this will probably not be of much use to her.
    
  • Various Mundane Utility Spells: Stuff that's useful in daily life but not in combat. Changing clothes, for example.
    
• Other: She's still got that teal voice in her head. He probably won't be doing anything interesting, but he's there. Also we're leaving it ambiguous whether her time in the Murderverse is canon to this thread.

Name: Agent Peely

Appearance:

Backstory: Agent Peely is a secret agent in the world of Fortnite. He is a double agent for both the Ghost clan and the Shadow clan. He has experience with guns and battle through his own experiments with the “Battle Royale” training system and game, which he takes a part in often.

Abilities:

Banana Split: Peely can take off his “peel” and throw it onto the ground in front of another person. This can have a stun effect if the person slips on it.

Pizza Time!: Can use this emote to spawn pizza from the sky. This will heal him as long as people do not try to attack him while he heals.

Sniper, No Sniping!: Peely always has a gun on him. He's not the best shot, but he can hurt you. If he uses this, he fires a bullet. It is rolled to see if it misses (1 - 3) or if he hits (4 - 6). If he hits, damage is dealt to the person it hits.
