"If we were picked intentionally, who knows. Or he's just an asshole who picked a bunch of people at random to... bring here, because it's his idea of fun. I'm not going to pretend to understand a mind like that."

Still doesn't want to use the word "kidnapped".

... There HAS to be something else... An ulterior motive for all of this... Why would he just... Go through all of this effort to kidnap specific people and make a game instead of it... You'd think that if he was truly a jerk, he'd just... Grab random people and just kill them directly...

"He probably wants attention, like any good star wants. Or perhaps... we're being sacrificed for a nefarious purpose? Ooh! Now we're really getting into some supernatural stuff."

"You mean, our souls get sacrificed to some big evil? Are we going to become demons when this is over? Aaaah! That would be so fun!" There she is, there's the original Entrapta who was all too excited about the situation she was in.

Selen(ium) is really side-eyeing Entrapta right now...

"...What? Think of all the things we could do as demons, if the myths I've read are correct." Her voice is innocent.

Demons would be, like, evil, though. Wouldn't they?

"We would have our minds conditioned to not care about that. Probably."

"I'd rather not become a demon, thanks. I'll stick with being a boring human."

Yeah. I'll stick with getting called a metaphorical demon for my music.

"So you're not willing to do more of these games OR become a demon? Aw, I guess that means we'll be parting ways. I'll miss you. You don't forget someone you involuntarily committed assisted murder with!"

"Well, thanks, I... guess. And I'm sure if I get out of this, or... come back like some people have talked about, I won't forget any of it either."

...well, barring some sort of memory wipe.

"Kanade says we come back, remember? I guess we're all expected to do these games again and again until we fulfill some sort of goal. Like getting away with a murder, or killing a certain amount of people, or suviving a certain amount of times."

That foolish mortal who took us is definitely not demonic in nature. He carries himself like a true mortal, an insane one, but mortal none the less.

"I'd certainly like to come back if I die, but... not to just go into some other game like this. Not unless I can somehow stop it from the inside before anyone has a chance to die."

Entrapta has a gleam in her eyes. An excited, determined gleam. "Listen. My biggest experiment back home was getting my planet out of the pocket dimension it was sealed into for its own protection. If I can pull that off, I can get to the bottom of these games. If Kanade is telling the truth, and my soul is bound to murdergames now, that's good. It means I really can just keep doing this games until I've got it right. If I'm murdered, if I become a killer, whatever happens! I'm excited! I have a lot of lost lives to make up for, after all..."

"I applaud your willingness to put yourself through... all of this. And you've got my full support in working to end these games. Starting with taking Jamie down, right? I mean, I'd think if this was actually being broadcast someone'd be trying to get him taken down and cancelled from the outside, too. So either he lied about it being broadcast, it's on a delay and hasn't gotten to that part in the outside world yet, or it's just taking people a while to figure out what to do."

Michelle pondered this a bit as she stood up and...

Yeah. And I guess Jamie could be putting things on a delay... which would hopefully mean he'd get caught once he broadcasts. Unless he broadcasts and immediately moves. But then he seems to crave recognition so if he continues to broadcast other things under his name they still might find him...

Ugh. Either way it's probably not going to help us immediately.

I believe that we cannot defeat our common enemy and host until we have destroyed the possessed mortals. Some of you will perish, yet that is not the worst outcome; defeat is.
