[OOC] Murderverse OOC

I've noticed that Sinister Starlight's gone for over two weeks (read: half a regular month) without any posts, probably due to the wait for signups. Should we enforce a maximum amount of time that a game can be dormant before being considered inactive, or would that be problematic somehow?

EDIT: I have been informed that it was on hold due to IRL stuff, but it doesn't seem to have been that well-communicated.

I forgot to mention my plan for what would happen if the Demoman got infected in EFZP. Maybe I should write a short story, akin to what Cutbug did for Pico...?

Oh, damn.

For whatever reason, the name "Maxine" came to me as a cool name for a new character with an 'M' theme. And it is. But then I realized it's the name of a character in the zombie-themed running app slash audio adventure I've been using for almost a year now. (Zombies, Run!). Which I do recommend if you're into that sort of thing, but I digress. The character is one Dr. Maxine Myers. Double M's. Medical/scientifically inclined, which you all have noted is the sort of character I tend to go for anyway.

It's like something is practically begging for me to put her in.

oh god the whole Addie and Sue thing in 2.B.A legit made me cry a bit IRL. Partly because I was getting very tired and partly because I loved those two and their dynamic and didn't want to see them be scum.

Alexis thinks that Kellensea is completely batshit insane and belongs in a straightjacket and padded room or something because holy FUCK also Alexis has written almost a whole notepad's worth of stuff about Kellensea to the point of not even making that many notes about other characters and hoping that doesn't bite her in the ass if one of them kills her. OOC? I think Kellensea is absolutely hilarious (and also completely batshit insane) and her ramblings are very entertaining to read because she just thinks... like that.

First pass at rules tweaks and expansion of roles (so everyone has some sort of special role) for a potential Escape from Zombie Park Island 2 (Electric Fence Boogaloo)

Rules

1. ALL GENERAL FORUM AND MURDERGAME FORUM RULES APPLY.
This includes NO POSTING IN THREAD DURING NIGHT PHASE and NO DISCUSSION OF ROLES OR PMS WITHOUT EXPRESS PERMISSION (IF THERE IS MORE THAN ONE ZOMBIE, THEY HAVE ONE KILL TOGETHER AND SHOULD DISCUSS AND COORDINATE AT ANY TIME IN SECRET AS A MAFIA WOULD.)
2. Loophole correction rules: Park security cameras have been upgraded and are unhackable. You may not use a character's powers to pull zombies cures from nowhere.
3. Nobody starts out infected. If you get bitten by one of the animals, you have a 1/6 probability of turning into a zombie (or your immune system may fight the zombie virus off).
4.  Half the number of players will be bitten each night. If you turn into a zombie, you can still win — by keeping the uninfected from knowing you were bitten so they can't vote for Management to deal with you, and turning or killing the innocents. Zombies will act like a Mafia; and whether they turn or kill someone they go after will be determined by a roll of the dice.
5. If the zombies roll higher than any zombie defenses the player targeted may have implemented, the player will either be killed or turned. They will have a one out of six chance of being turned and a five out of six chance of just being eaten for brains. Players will be able to vote off more than one possible zombie each day, as many as they like.
If you ''don't'' get zombified and survive the week, you could escape the island and win a good referral on your resume! (Er, win the game). There will be seven potential game days.

Roles

(As in previous games, 6 will mean "Went Horribly Right." +1's will also turn 6's into 5's). Zombified individuals lose any role powers they might have had.
The Medic: May tend one person each night and make sure they don't turn into a zombie.
The Animal Whisperer: +1 to actions dealing with animals
The Orator: Gets an extra vote when voting off zombies or not
The Athlete: +1 to actions requiring athleticism
The Techie: +1 to actions requiring technological knowledge
The Dodger: You may designate one day to have your reflexes on point. You will dodge any animals that might nip you. (Must say this before the conclusion of the daily challenge.)
The Saboteur: You may sabotage one person's challenge each day.
The Gunslinger: Dr. Frankie doesn't like guns (tranq guns notwithstanding), but you secretly brought a shotgun with you that will take a person's (or a zombie's) head clean off. You only have a single shotgun shell. You can shoot one person during the course of the game, during Night Phase. If they're a zombie, they will be dead before they can kill someone else, and you'll be vindicated . If you were wrong, you leave yourself open to being voted off and executed by your colleagues.
The Framer: If you become a zombie, one night (and only one night), you can leave a misleading piece of evidence.
The Twins: You're eerily in sync. If one of you becomes a zombie - both of you become zombies!
The Zombie Sympathizer: You don't want to see anyone dead, even a zombie -- especially a zombie! If a zombie gets away scott free after killing, you get immunity to being bitten in the challenge the next day.

I do have one major concern about how Life's a Beach is being hosted right now. If I remember correctly, one of the hosts said that bad rolls during investigation will impact the player, not the evidence. However,

On top of that, I have heard a few complaints about poor management of the rooms system (in particular, one player told me that they had no idea where they were for the whole night, and straight-up recieved contradictory messages). I feel like this may be a "too many cooks" situation in which the sheer number of hosts is making stuff harder to communicate.

I don't know whether this has been discussed off-site yet, but I'm throwing in my two cents. And besides, concern is the only thing I seem to be able to express confidently /hj.

I do agree we've had some difficulties in communication with everything and admittedly, I did bungle some things here here and there during the parts where I called (some of it being first-time hosting lack of experience while some of it is trying to catch up on things), and I think maybe we should have had a map made, because I was confused on some things. I do apologize for any screw-ups I caused though

I mean I do kinda wish that a certain element in my night action PM had actually been noticed since I tried to be more careful than the investigation would lead people to believe, but eh, I'm dead now. Not for lack of trying though, lol.

(all that said I do hope Amanda isn't too ruined as a character and I can bring her into Murderfree again, since her hair thing makes her one of my favorites.)
