Murderverse Falls
Look, Catar, I know your intentions are good. I have... "thought carefully" about it. I have also "thought carefully" about Felicia and come to the same conclusion. I think that, maybe, you have been misguided by multiple killers leaving different pieces of evidence at each crime scene, and adding them up, thinking you have one killer.

Or, at least, those are my human thoughts. Either way, there is only one other hairless individual here, by all our counts.

Adrianna is momentarily stunned by the sudden 180 in voting, then outraged. Hypocrite that she is.
You seem pretty sure that unless we take action now, we'll all be killed! How do you know this unless you're one of them, waiting until you dominate the numbers?!

She has a sudden thought.
You know, I've heard rumours of a "wanna-maybe" type running around. Maybe they were recruited on one of the nights when no-one died. If that's the case, we might be good for another night if we do nothing, but if we get this wrong, we're doomed because we played right into their hands!
She glares at Catar with calm fury.
And you'd know that too.

As for the people who kicked Destiny out, that was me, the late Zee, Kirby, Eki/Anya, Neptune, Lucky, Bunyan and Jake, who I heard vanished without a trace last evening. Was he replaced by this witch here...?
She points at Felicia.
You, newbie! Got anything to say?!

"I don't need to have blood on my hands to know that we're all going to die if we do nothing. You don't need blood on your hands to know that either. That's what we have been doing for 4 nights straight before we got Destiny off here."

"And what good would "living for another night" mean? We would just delay the inevitable and get someone else killed off for no good reason, then we'd get outnumbered because all the evidence we have points to no one, and can only really clear me in the first place according to that cat's very well constructed accusation that we all somehow understood. Can we even rely on evidence anymore, or was it a mistake to wait for more evidence in the first place?"

"Perhaps we should at first look at the evidences we have, poyo... We know at least one of the culprits is on the tall side."
Hiiii!
If Lucky had any thoughts in that little kitty head of his, he might be wondering if Gooble, being a shapeshifter, was perfectly capable of being tall if he so pleased.
nya
"Any opinions, poyo? What other evidences do we have?"
Hiiii!
Look, I think we have all the evidence we are going to get - one kill was done by a person of human proportions, or someone who could alter themselves that way, like that Gooble child. The other was done by a person with no hair, so either me or you. We do not need to derail the conversation by saying "maybe our human eyes missed something".

You said that like we would've died immediately. And Destiny was innocent. Yes, I did lead that wagon and you didn't vote her out, but this... This reminds me of what happened yesterday. We've... made these sudden decisions to vote someone out at the last moment. I'm ashamed of my mistake, and you might be about to repeat it at a critical moment if my "wanna-maybe" theory is correct. Or maybe that was your plan; if it is...
Adrianna points at Eki and Anya.
...you two, Kirby and our newcomer are the most likely to be in on it.
Adrianna sighs deeply.
...You have a point there. I just thought we could buy more time to connect the dots. But the fact you were around since the beginning means... squat. From what I've heard, there's been so many transfers that one of the murderers could've already been replaced by someone else. Sure, you don't look like you could hold a weapon too well. But you could be co-ordinating your friends instead.

She looks at Jimothy.
We know one person was killed by someone who might've been tall. You look about average. And I don't understand why we're saying one of the killers is hairless. There could've just been no hair lost at the crime scenes! Or it could've decayed or something, I dunno.

Bunyan and Babe have been paying careful attention to the discussion about who to vote off. She considered voting for Jimonthy at first - he always came off as a bit off to her to begin with - but she listened closely to the arguments about Kirby, especially when Lucky brought up his argument that she somehow understood, which made her change her mind.
"Well, considering the hairless thing, I'm leaning towards voting for Kirby."

CHALLENGE TIME

You have 72 hours for this challenge:

Imposter Challenge

Something's copying the form of each of you in turn... we need your help to find the sus-pect

1. Looks like it might be copying *you* this time. It doesn't want to be seen in the same place, lest it be outed. Figure out a way to lure it out!
2. Now you're going to have to prove that you're the real you and the other you is just an imposter.
3. Find a way to contain it before it morphs into another form and gets away!

Adrianna's a bit lost for words.

Shapeshifter Shenanigans
1. Looks like it might be copying *you* this time. It doesn't want to be seen in the same place, lest it be outed. Figure out a way to lure it out!
Adrianna offers to put on an impromptu show with volunteers to draw everyone in. She's got enough theatrics, at least.
2. Now you're going to have to prove that you're the real you and the other you is just an imposter.
Finally, a good time to demonstrate those oddly-specific throwing skills.
She does a complicated trick with her boomerangs.
The imposter's not copied her expertise as well... right?
Plan B is to simply persuade them with words, or to tell the townsfolk the imposter's merely a spy, since that's more believable.
3. Find a way to contain it before it morphs into another form and gets away!
She orders the crowd to pin it down. If this fails, she'll simply chase after it.
When it's been caught, she briefly transforms her arms to administer a tranquilliser. That thing's too dangerous to risk it breaching other forms of physical containment, in her mind.

What else needs saying?
TRIPLE STAR
That's what you are.
Amazing!
More Incidents!
1. "If i'm a shapeshifting monster, where would i be?" Kirby searches all over the place for the imposter. He can use his Warp Star to cover more ground. He can also ask for help from the others

2. We could order some sort of eating competition. Get as much tasty treats as you can for both, and both will eat them all up. Whoever succeeds/eats more is the real Kirby, since only Kirby could possess such a huge appetite!
If that doesn't work, just try to convince the others that Kirby is the real one.

3. Kirby has to try to inhale the creature before it gets away. He keeps it in his mouth, finds a sack or something, and spits it out against a hard surface such as a wall or tree to possibly incapacitate it. Then Kirby will have to put it in the sack and ties it before it wakes up.

Hiiii!
Adrianna has rolled a four on the first task plus one for her theatrical nature, a nine plus on on the second task for being very good with boomerangs, and a one plus one on the third task for being able to transform her arms. This gives her a score of 17.

The show isn't bad, and the creature seems interested, but still too shy to really come out in the open.

The boomerang tricks work impressively. Everyone thinks it's really unlikely an imposter would have the same boomerang skills as you do.

Capturing it, however, goes pretty terribly. Nobody wants to pin it down, and it fights off your long arm trying to administer the traquiliser pretty fiercely.

there is 1 impawster among us
1. Looks like it might be copying *you* this time...
The thing about being a cute harmless kittycat is that you are cute and harmless. An impawster has a very good cover story... but Lucky will meow very randomly sometimes at random, hoping that someone will hear him while looking at the impawster and be like "hey wait a sec".

2. Now you're going to have to prove that you're the real you...
Hmmm... This one is a real stumper. Lucky isn't very smart after all, he's just a kittycat ruled by kittycat thoughts - IS THAT A RED DOT GET IT GET IT GET IT GET IT NOW CHASE CHASE POUNCE POUNCE
(Someone is clearly hoping the impawster will not have the feline dot-chasing instinct.)

3. Find a way to contain it before it morphs into another form and gets away!
Lucky's disadvantage of being very smol has become an advantage! Someone pick up the impawster and put them in the transportation prison!

nya
Kirby has rolled a 3+1 on the first task for use of the Warp Star, a 7+1 for eating ability on the second, and a 4+1 for inhalation ability on the third task, for a total of 17 points.

Kirby, the others helping, and the Warp Star do eventually flush out the shapeshifter, even if it's not easy

The eating competition goes decently and convincingly. The only problems relate to getting enough food to supply the competition.

Finally, Kirby's ability to inhale the shapeshifter does come in handy. Even if the result is... a bit disgusting.

Lucky is in fact very cute and meowy. The impawster is also very cute... and meowy, but someone clever might note that the impawster tends to only meow after Lucky does. It's Mavis, and she is now distracted by the cuteness of OH MY GOSH THERE'S TWO OF THEM so it'll take a bit more convincing. She is going to play with the kitties, which leads us to... (Rolled 3 +1 for cuteness for a total of 4.)

This works a lot better. While the impawster can copy meows pretty well, it doesn't quite have the laser pointer thing down just yet. After a bit more distraction from OH MY GOSH TWO KITTIES, Lucky has proven he is the real deal. (Rolled 7 +1 for pouncing skills for a total of 8.)

Quote:3. Find a way to contain it before it morphs into another form and gets away!

And whoops, Grunkle Ed has put both kitties in carriers, and it takes a lot of convincing from Mavis on which one was the better red-dot-catcher before Lucky gets out. (Rolled 2.)

Lucky has scored a total of 14 points.
Stupid doomed timeline...
Oh great, an impostor.
Dealing With A Scam
1. Yeah, the impostor might not want to come to you, but nothing's stopping you from directly tracking down and chasing the impostor down. Fly up, look around, and pounce down on the impostor. The scuffle from your method of less luring, more catching the impostor should attract plenty of attention.
2. There's a few things that no amount of impostor hijinks will copy from someone who deals in cash, and that is knowing how much something's worth. Catar asks to be shown an item from the shop, and have both her and the impostor guess the prices. The one whose price prediction is the closest to the item's actual price wins... so it's just The Price Is Right.
3. The impostor definitely isn't used to her struggle with existing in a place that was designed for people with hands. So the solution is rather simple- just lock the fake Catar in a cabin and watch her futilely use the lock.

it is me. awe921, the greatest face in all of koridai
Catar has rolled a 5 on the first task +1 for flying ability, a 9 on the second task +1 for merchant appraisal skillz, and a 1 on the third task. This leaves her with a score of 17 points.

Flying around looking for the impostor does turn it up... eventually. The impostor also has wings now, although it's not as experienced at using them.

Catar is on fire at the improvised game of The Price is Right! Everyone's sure the correct Catar is Catar. She might even get a call from the team at Antiques Roadshow to be one of their appraisers, now!

Keeping the impostor contained when it comes to it, though, is a disaster. Okay, the Catar impostor can't use hands to maneuver the lock - but neither can Catar! And the impostor is a shapeshifter who can take someone else's form, someone who does have useful hands.

fuckit, CHASE IT. Catar's on point, when the impostor's hard to draw out to you, nothing's stopping you from drawing near towards the impostor. Especially when you can get it cornered near the original's weakness zone!

"I KNOW I hate the water! If that freak doesn't, then it's not me!"

...okay Felicia hopefully you don't hit the water too

2. Now you're going to have to prove that you're the real you and the other you is just an imposter.

SPELL SKILL BULLSHIT TIME! Felicia performs a series of complex hand gestures to conjure a star-shaped flare! Surely the impostor doesn't know all of Felicia's tricks!

3. Find a way to contain it before it morphs into another form and gets away!

uhhhhhhhhhh immediately entangle it in a fishnet and dunk it into the river lol

You chase the impostor around a bit, and it backs off into the water with a splash. (Rolled 8.)

Whoa, that's some handy (heh) spellwork! The impostor can't do that, and twists its "fingers" up trying. It also lacks Felicia's fire-conjuring ability so it's quite obvious to everyone which is which. (Rolled 9 +1 for spellwork for a total of 10.)

You have to fight a bit to get it in the fishnet, and splash yourself a bit when dunking it, but it's pretty well caught lol (Rolled 4.)

Felicia has scored a total of 22 points.
