We're gonna make a non-murdergame RP thread, since, like
ostensibly this forum is for lots of kinds of roleplay not just murdergames lol
Potential ideas we have:
... in principle we could make some kinda RP that doesn't lean on magic but we can't imagine that lol
anyway, which of these ideas would people be interested in and/or do you have any of your own?

I'm willing to join in with that, but may I add a suggestion: A 'Roll to Dodge' thread, because it's been a long time since we last had an active one running (Last one I recall was RtD XI: Titanium Fist. It didn't really progress past the initial stage).
Viking Duck is back from Valhalla, and ready to take all the loot. Also, still a friend to animals.

A superhero RP sounds interesting.

On ideas, maybe something along the lines of the following.
Refugees have fled a warzone some time in a *[vague handwavy time period in a vague location somewhere (that probably has snow and/or flooding problems for the bad weather thing mentioned later in this post)]*. Magic may or may not be a thing in this setting. They come across an old guard post with a few soldiers assigned to the marginally less miserable fate (relative to being cut apart on the front lines) of isolation in a tiny wilderness village, which has its own citizens, and the groups are forced to coexist by external circumstances and bad weather, despite tensions over the limited supplies.
Might be a bit bleak and only an appealing idea to me though. It certainly has a reasonable amount of potential conflict points for interesting interactions.

There's been a bit of talk in the Murderverse discord server about a zombie apocalypse RP.
I like this idea and already know I'd want to play as Tina Belcher in it.

All right, poll for which ideas you think are cool, we'll probably make whichever one gets the most votes.
(Florien's idea is on the poll too though idk whether they wanted to run it themself or not but if they did we can just ignore those results bc it's an approval vote)

You don't don't have to add these to the poll, since I probably won't start them for a while, but since nobody seems to have paid attention to the tread I initially posted these ideas to, would anyone be interested in a D&D 5e campaign set in the Ben 10 universe, or a Mega Man 5e one-shot where the players are robot masters trying to defeat Mega Man? I've already done a bit of work on the former.

Bee, while I would be somewhat interested, you have another DND 5e campaign that hasn't started. Maybe work on that first before you start another campaign?

I wasn't planning on starting either until I'm done with the current campaign, though I probably should have made that clearer.

Alright, makes sense. But I will say that the typical DND campaign can go on for months, if not longer, so you should keep that into account when it comes to being "done".

I've actually got a idea for a RtD thread we could do here on TC, called "Reign of Shadows". I even made a cover pic for it:
Viking Duck is back from Valhalla, and ready to take all the loot. Also, still a friend to animals.

Already went over this in the TC Discord server, but I was thinking of starting a Super Mario Bros-themed RP on here in the near future.
Current concept is still that it would be an isekai-style thread wherein all of the well-known heroes AND the villains in the Mushroom Kingdom have gone missing, but just before she goes missing as well, Rosalina would use her powers to bring in a bunch of people from the "real world" to go on a quest across the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond to find the missing heroes and villains and figure out why they disappeared in the first place.
Everyone would become Mario people/mooks upon entering the Mushroom Kingdom, so people would be stuff like plumbers, princesses, Toads, Yoshis, Koopas, or whatever other Mario, Donkey Kong Country, or Yoshi's Island "class" or species you can come up with. Arcs could be based on specific Mario games or take place in familiar SMB universe locations (and perhaps could eventually be expanded to include other Nintendo franchises like The Legend of Zelda).
COURSE CLEARED!

Here's an idea for an RP: An Ace Attourney RP featuring characters from other canon realms (e.g. Attack on Titan, Adventure Time, Danganronpa, etc). Your thoughts?

How exactly would that work? I get the crossover idea, but other than being ace attorney, what exactly is going on?
Assuming people are on trial, which seems the obvious route, how exactly does everyone know their role in the case? (seeing as obviously not everyone is lawyering). How structured would this be?
I'd need to know a lot more details before making much of a judgement on it.

Well, here's a basic layout of the structure:
Start of Case
A crime of random ranking (from mid-upwards) has occurred, and someone has alerted the local police/law enforcement force about it. Either that, or you find that it has happened, and decide to let the law enforcement force keep others from disturbing your investigations.
Investigation
It pretty much goes how it does in AA (This does mean that, having not once touched the entire franchise, I will need someone to help fill in blanks on how it goes here).
The Trial
Each trial is presided by the honourable Judge Ortus, a powerful humanoid entity who believes in fairness. Who the 'Edgeworth' in each case will be different (We'll go based off which universe it takes place in). There will be the 'Recess' period for further information gathering.
To allow for multiple people to participate, the 'Edgeworth' of each case will be controlled by a different user each time. Same goes for the 'Phoenix'/'Apollo' as well. Judge Ortus, though, will be controlled by the host (me), or the co-host, depending on who's available.

Don't know if this is the right thread or not, but I'm interested in making a Murdergame myself. Don't know if anyone would be interested in it though.
Calling it something along the lines of "Dead Men Walking" or something else entirely, I'm still thinking up a name.
The synopsis: 14-16 participants wake up to find themselves not in where they were before, but in a mansion. A mansion that has seen better days for sure. Cobwebs and dust bunnies inhabit this once glamourous and rich manor, now was old and dilapidated from age and neglect. The only thing here that seems to be intact and fully functional is the electricity in this place to use electronics such as stoves and what not, and the beds in the bedrooms upstairs.
As the soon to be victims get their bearings, someone comes through the door. A cloaked figure seemingly hovering off the ground. A figure who while is here to explain your situation, isn't here to deliver good news.
He tells each and every one of you that you are trapped here. And he's right. Any door that would lead to the outside are completely gone, and although there's windows, breaking them is nigh impossible.
However, there is a solution. For you see, he tells them all that not everyone in your group is to be trusted. That three/four/five (I'm still deciding on the exact number) have been in this mansion before, that they're simply ghosts under his beck and call. Ghosts he cursed to be the key to your escape.
Every day, you may hold a meeting to try and dispel these ghosts. Bring forth evidence as to who you believe is a ghost. Once the votes have been cast, that ghost (or potentially innocent mansion dweller) will be purged from existence. You will know you got the correct one when the three candles permanently burning on the table in the voting room's fire dies out.
That said, that isn't all there is. For at night, the ghosts may roam around and pluck you off one by one by his (The Cloaked Figure)'s command. They can only kill one a night however, as if multiple ghosts killed multiple people at night, then the game would be over much sooner.
However, the ghosts aren't the only one who can kill at night. If you feel like you have someone in mind (or if paranoia gets to you) and don't think you can wait until the morning to vocalize your suspicions, you may take the initiative and off someone yourself. Just hope that whoever you offed was a ghost, because you may very well wake up in the morning to two corpses waiting to greet you. If you do manage to kill a ghost however, you successfully prevent them from killing that same night.
Apart from the murder mystery, you are free to explore the manor as you see fit. Oh right, murder mystery. We got the murder part out of the way, so how about the mystery? Your characters may find clues and puzzles to the mansion's history, who the Cloaked Figure truly is, and could potentially find clues that can help you deduce who the ghosts are keeping you from leaving the mansion.
When face to face with a horrific tasks of finding out which among you could be a wolf in sheep's clothing or be potentially killed, can you all band together to solve the mystery? Or will paranoia get the better of you and leave you to joining the mansion's population of ghosts. Can you leave this mansion? And if so, will it be with many standing behind you, a few, or by yourself?
This was just an idea I had since it doesn't really fit the DRRP formula I believe, plus I've been in a few murdergames before that have been a lot of fun to participate in that made me want to host my own. I have no idea if anyone would be interested with me hosting this, or if an idea like this has been done already or not. Just let me know what you guys think.
