Oooh the atmosphere is tense! Okay, for you. But Anyway, whatever happens, we get the information we need to eliminate some contenders for the hammerer.

I'm kind of hoping Susan is the false-negative, in which case we can rely completely on the checker's help.

You know if we're right we're going to get killed next night, right? They're going to decide we're just too scary to live. Or it's quite possible we've already been poisoned and I'm currently developing organ failure of multiple kinds.

Delilah doesn't really want to watch this either.

Quick? No, no, no. There will not be anything quick here.

Right as the voice finishes the sentence, Susan started squirming against her will. After a few moments, she finds herself convulsing. She doesn't know what's happening. She's just screaming in confusion. All of a sudden, her hands reach for her face and start pulling on the skin. The hands manage to get a firm grip on the skin and start tugging on it hard. Eventually, she rips her face right off her skull. The hands claw her flesh off right down to the bone. Susan is in great pain and what's worse, it isn't something she can control.

Then she puts her right hand on her left shoulder and vice versa with her left hand and right shoulder. Like with her face, the hands start tugging on the skin. They grip harder and harder as they try to rip it off. Until her skeleton itself rips its way out of her body like a banana. All everyone can see is bones that walk towards everyone, begging for death. And then, the structure of her flesh-less body collapses into a bloody pile of bones and organs. After that, a ghost pulls out Susan's soul and they fly underground together. You can tell her soul is scared beyond belief, not just from her gruesome death but the fact she doesn't know where she's going to go next.

Bah! You all managed to get lucky this time! Susan was The Mask.
And indeed, she was the one who killed Professor Crow. You are all correct this time. But do not get overconfident. I still have two more up my sleeve and they will not make it easy for you., the Voice said, laying on the contempt extra thick.

Quinarva only untrees when she knows it's over. "So I guess we shouldn't doubt those lizards again going forward..."

Anya just looks, silently. Elster just says "Well. I guess we got one. Looks like we could trust those two this time."

Abigail backed off in pure horror. She was merely expecting the execution to be simply hanging like in the Salem Witch Trials. Susan's execution was truly terrifying. Not even the fact that Susan was Scum and the killer softened the blow.
"Y-You could've just hung her!" She shouted at Agatha.

Yeah, Taira doesn't really want to think about the consequences of Lukanios and Fentriss being right about other things, too.

Fentiriss's face is still mostly covered by her helmet's visor. Lukanios however, not having a visor, has a visible, terrifying grin.

This is quite literally the best possible outcome!

Seer or whatever. Check Quin tonight. There can be no false negatives. If she tests positive and isn't the hammerer when we hang her, the hammerer was one of those who voted today.

It's going to be WONDERFUL.

"Wait that test of strength thing actually worked. That or that was a lucky guess or she was a killer in a bunch of timelines and there was a pattern, or..."

Delilah's still not watching; hearing all of that was bad enough.

She's going with "probably a lucky guess", but she keeps this to herself.

"And clues to the Hammerer too. Good... good. We know it wasn't Susan herself, probably not the lizard people since they started off the vote and probably wouldn't vote one of their own unless it was some kinda crazy-ass gambit. Leaves a few options. No ideas on the poisoner though. Yet, anyway."

"Or, you know, you're just got lucky this time." said Elster towards Lukanios and Fentriss. "We'll see if we could trust you guys."

Incidentally, could the hunter or whatever protect us tonight? We're clearly a massive asset and it would be best if whoever went for us died. Vigilante, you get to live if you kill someone, even if you kill wrong. You kill Anya and Elster. Bang, bang. One after the other. Either we're right or we're wrong, and at the very least, we've eliminated a possibility. Jailer, you jail either June or Taira and don't tell us which until tomorrow. Seer, investigate Quin. Fisherguy, you do you I guess.

Naomi isn't the hammerer, we know that. Everyone who hasn't voted so far is not the hammerer.

...If I were one of the, the killers, I'm not sure why I possibly would've voted for Susan when I did., Taira muttered.

She still looked a bit ill, but not quite like her worldview was falling around her anymore.

Look at Anya and Elster, trying to redirect suspicion onto us. For some reason that no one could POSSIBLY COMPREHEND oooh. "Lucky" "watch our back" "See if we can trust you" Heh. This'll be great. Everything is great.

Oh, by the way, seer, hunter, could you please whisper to us which ones you are so if we win immunity during the upcoming task whenever that is, we can direct you to each other?

So the killer is now dead? That is very good news. It is a shame that people have to die here, it is very against my human sensibilities. But we are much safer now!

Actually, we're only MARGINALLY safer.

Well, we're almost certainly 100% safe, because we're such valuable assets that we're going to get protected... unless I'm currently hours away from massive organ failure from several poisonous mushrooms or something, considering they have one of theirs that can do that. Though I don't think it will matter. Stick to the plan, yeah? It all works out if you just listen to us.

You might not be safer. You might even be less safe! We'll see soon I guess. As for that "if you just listen to us", yeah! I mean, that's the whole reason we conquered the world! In less than a year! In less than your year. It was more than a year for us, but record time, yeah? And it turned out not to be the whole world we did find another continent with another whole deal going on, but we decided to not conquer them on the suuuper off-chance we need to head out somewhere where no one will recognize us immediately. Point is, conquering the world is great when you see all these problems and them being insufficiently dealt with!

That and what else are you supposed to do when you find yourself in the possession with power beyond even gods? I mean we didn't have any other options! Once we were both linked on the relic, we didn't really have a choice! Anyway, everyone's back on the uvigeld, we brought back One Zhylahthenpych, it's great. Point is, if you can just keep throwing yourself at a problem, eventually you'll win! The only risk is getting really bored and tired and giving up.

Come to think of it, if you always could, you wouldn't need to ask someone to protect you.

Not that I think you're one of the killers. I'm just not sure you're as powerful as you're claiming. There were only so many of us to guess from.

"Maybe they're good guessers, maybe some people end up getting possessed more often through timelines or whatever. But yeah, the plan. Blocking potential suspects is always good, so is investigating. Only thing there is hoping not to get the innocent who shows as possessed. 'Least the other two possessed people will show as possessed. Protecting is good too. And yeah, looks like if the Vigilante kills an innocent they just lose the ability to go after anyone else instead of dying, which is good. Other than the dead innocent of course. But yeah. Picking from a small pool of 'one of these is definitely possessed' is a chance that'd make it worth it more than a shot in the dark at 'I don't know if I can trust this person'. I'd guess the Hammerer is someone who voted more near the middle, like... 4th or 5th once it looked inevitable and they figured they could go 'oh no see I voted for the scum I must be innocent' without the whole reveal the Hammerer had voted."

"Hell, all we know the poison-y one jumped on the bandwagon for the same reason and we get two birds with one stone. So to speak."

Delilah looked more determined now, more than she had since before they all fell. Now would this carry over to the challenge?

Like I said, innocent who would show as possessed would be me. Believe me about that or not. I'd really rather find the rest of the actual killers before I get killed myself, though.

I agree on your logic of where the Hammerer would have voted, though. I'm assuming they didn't think we'd have any way of knowing the Hammerer voted if they didn't vote where it would affect the outcome.

And the plan looks decent, yeah. I have no objection to being suppressed since I have no powers that would *be* suppressed. I mean, ideally you'd suppress someone with malevolent powers, yes.

...Not going to speculate on where anybody else's powers would have come from in the first place, anyway.
