She then takes some of Lukanios' cut-up meat pieces as she has already given them her two granola bars.

What you call a "witch" is real and we are certainly going to encounter one.

What about that one iteration?

Okay, fine. We are going to encounter a witch almost certainly.

[Mr. Lee Hammer]

"Yeah, I got a map right here if you like to check it out. It's just our basic route for today," the instructor gives the bunny-ear girl a map to see where they're all going.

"See all this? We are about to explore all this within the next few days. I'm about to treat you all to the ultimate nature adventure."

To Taria:

"Hmm... I'm sure there was an error made somewhere. When we get done here, I'll call up the base and get things straightened out and we can get your friend to join us. Sound good?"

The instructor then pulls out a tuna sandwich and starts eating.

Abigail turns her attention to the rest of the hiking group.
"Well, my name is Abigail. You can call me Abby or Abbie, I don't really mind. I came on this trip for the witch that resides in the Blackmore Woods. I believe she can free me from my predicament in some way or another."

Taira looks at Quinarva strangely but doesn't say anything

Naomi quickly grabs the map and starts intently looking at it...

To Taria:

"Hmm... I'm sure there was an error made somewhere. When we get done here, I'll call up the base and get things straightened out and we can get your friend to join us. Sound good?"

Oh, thanks! I would appreciate that. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation.

"What's with the bunny ears? Are you magical or something?" Abigail asked as she looks over Naomi's map.

"I just thought it sounded interesting. I mean whether the rumors are true or not it's a fun trip, gotta love that view."

Then Quinarva remembered what humans actually do to mythical creatures if they don't strike first, and that her entire reason for walking the earth was to avoid life in some hunter's trophy room. "...Whiiiich you are. Hahahahaha!"

Naomi proceeds to take the rabbit ears off, which attach to Naomi's head with hair clips...

A young girl is also a part of the hiking group.

”Well, even though we're this far in and we haven't even learned each other's names, I'll go next. I'm June.”

"Oh!" Abigail became embarrassed as she legitimately thought that the ears were real. "My bad, they looked like the real deal!"

...Real deal. Really.

"My name is Quinarva. And unlike her rabbit ears, my antlers are-" Damn it Quinarva, you are asking to be killed and stuffed. "-also totally fake! Hahaha! Little Grecian joke."

Abigail leaned in towards Quinarva's ear.
"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone that your antlers are real." She whispered.

Bet on how long it takes Taira to break?

Nah, not variable enough. One or two outliers isn't enough. She's resistant enough to ignore our presence this time though. Not like a few iterations ago.

And your broken eye pigment and crystalization.

She wouldn't know it's broken, she said... was it this time or a few times ago? Was she lying? Whatever, she wouldn't know that this is abnormal.

Quinarva smiled at Abigail. "ευχαριστώ." She whispered sweetly.

As you and everyone finish up your lunches, the hiking instructor gets up.

"All right, you all ready? Back down we go. I don't know about you all, but I think I'm eager to see Blackmoon-"

The instructor gets interrupted by the violent trembling of the cliff. Thankfully none of you are on the ledge so you don't tip right off when the shaking begins. It doesn't make you all any less scared for your lives though. You all even hear the sound of crumbling underneath. It happens so fast. Before any of you get the chance to get off the perch, it breaks right off, sending everyone falling below. Some of you manage to cling on to the perch for dear life. Others just roll down the hills. But either way, down you go. Eventually you all land after that nasty fall. You and everyone else get up and find you all have minor cuts and bruises from that fall. Thankfully, no serious injuries among you. Except when you turn to the right and you all find the hiking instructor, impaled right through the chest with a stalactite. That's right, the only outdoors expert who was guiding you through the trip is now dead.

Abigail stared at the hiking instructor's dead body in shock.
"T-The witch! They're at work now!"

Oh, crap! Somebody find the first aid kit, I'm going to call 911 to see if we can get the guy an airlift..

Susan walks up to the instructor's corpse.
I agree but also disagree. I'd say this is more of a paranormal occurrence involving spirits compared to witches.

Taira pulls out her phone to try and call 911. But as she dials, her phone explodes.
