[Mafia] Witch Trip 2: The Witch is Back
Forgot to add deadline, which is July 27, 8 PM EST/7 PM CST
I like bananas. They're yellow.
Mary's in a pickle!
1. Withstand the winds that are increasing in strength and recover all the papers for Gene.
Hoo boy. Doll lightness has always been troublesome when weather strikes around here. Let's see if she can turn it around and make it an advantage... or at least cancel it out.

She pulls out a pair of her longest strings, and with each one, she ties one end around herself and attaches a grappling yoyo to the other, using those to keep herself firmly secured as she navigates the storm to collect the papers.

2. Attempt to chant with Gene with whatever you recovered and stop Agatha for good.
Thankfully, one of the benefits of being a doll is that Maryann is very good at remembering and following instructions. "I thought that was computers?" Same difference, now hush. Another one of the benefits of being a magic doll is........ the magic.
She reads the notes as quickly as possible and... well, she's never channeled her magic like this before, but she read the notes, she can work out the theory, at least.

3. ...Incapacitate him, but DON'T kill him. If you can find a way to get the spirits out of his body, maybe he can save you all.
Yoyo strings! Thousands of them! ... okay maybe more like tens, she couldn't fit thousands in her backpack, much less her pockets. Still, she's always carrying around the perfect restraint tool. A soft-rubber-coated yoyo to the solar plexus to wind him, and the strings will hold him until she can adapt the spell in Gene's notes.

1. Your yoyos here are too weak for the wind! You try to make them work for you. But there's too much strength to the winds. It's like the Witch herself knew this and is blowing everything in your direction. You get gusted away, your yoyos failing to grapple and get whacked right into a tree. You really felt your doll innards get rocked inside.

Rolled 6 and 3- for lightness for 3.

2. Your memory serves you well. You actually recite the words faster than Gene can, and really get into it. Eventually, you and Gene chant more and more. The Ranger is stunned, and also you feel the atmosphere calming down. The souls rising out slowing down.

Rolled 9.

3. But ahh, The Witch won't go down to you this easily. The souls take over Gene. But now your yo-yos work for you as you immobilize him with ease. And you use the chants to rid him of the souls without any harm done to him or you.

Rolled 6 and 3+ for yo-yo skills for 9.

Oh, yes, Gene Sheppard, I remember you. You were the one who came into my forest and ruined my fun. But you were a fool if you think you can completely destroy me. I have had hundreds of years of practice to survive in my spirit form. You cannot possibly dream to kill me.  Please, sir, just get her out of my body. So I can see my family again. You will be bound by me forever, and as for you, Gene, you might have foiled me the first time. But I have grown stronger in the arts since then. You cannot even stop me now, let alone destroy me for good.

We'll see about that, Witch.

Gene pulls out his notes from his jacket. But before he has a chance to go over what he's written - his chants to stop Agatha, "Ranger Mike" raises his/her arm. Strong winds bellow against you all. The force of it all comes close to knocking you all off your feet. But during this frenzy, you see the notes Gene's gotten fly away in a papery mess, spreading all over the camp. Gene needs your help.

1. Withstand the winds that are increasing in strength and recover all the papers for Gene.

2. Attempt to chant with Gene with whatever you recovered and stop Agatha for good.

3. You think this man can stop me? You think this man is your friend? Not if my souls have anything to say about that. Dark souls raise out of the grave and tuck themselves into Gene. And now he's possessed and trying to kill you all. Incapacitate him, but DON'T kill him. If you can find a way to get the spirits out of his body, maybe he can save you all.

1: Carefully pluck your hands and feet into the ground to ground yourself into the ground and grab the notes as needed. Use this as a sort of anchor while also making sure tto grab the notes as needed and store them... inside your clothes, yeah.

2: listen very closely to gene's chants... focus on the pronounciation in particular...

3: Hastily incapacotate him with the notes by shoving them in his mouth and also pinning him by the hands and feet.
I don't understand any of this... I'm in a world of complete insanity...

1. The winds blow strongly as you scramble to gather all the notes to put them under your clothes. But the strength of it all, they all blow away. You know you have to get them. Yet, you don't. You tell yourself there's no way they can be gathered up and watch helplessly as they all go into the barriers and burn up.

Rolled 5 and 3- for inability to work under pressure for 2.

Rolled 5 and 3+ for intelligence for 8.

3. The souls that have possessed Gene have made him strong. Too strong for you to hold him down. You can't even find anything to stick into his mouth. He just throws you off him as if you were a pillow. He comes after you, but you manage to outrun him after a long chase.

The battle between Gene and the Ranger wages on as Gene shouts his chants, getting louder with each one he does. The Ranger stumbles back, groaning and weakening as Gene doesn't let up. The Ranger lets out a scream that echoes around the camp. Loud enough to split eardrums. The Ranger collapses and convulses before he/she stops moving. Gene observes the Ranger's body, still motionless. He approaches the Ranger and bends down to him.

Sir, can you hear me?

The Ranger stays still for a moment before he moves his head towards Gene. He opens his eyes, looking like a normal human.

I... I'm weak... Is... is she gone?

I... I think I did it. I never exorcised someone before... but I did it. And I couldn't have done it without you all, he addresses the survivors. He turns his attention back to the Ranger. Do you think you can move the rest of your body?

I'll try. The Ranger takes his time, but he gets up. You can tell he's a bit weak, but he's able to move around. It's a miracle. But I think you actually did it. I've been stuck in this camp for the past year. Not able to see my family. Not even my newborn baby. They all must be worried sick about me. I... I just want to see them again.

Don't worry. We'll make sure you'll get back home, right, everyone?

You all nod along with him. Are you finally free? Free from the Witch's presence? No longer forced to being a prisoner here for a vengeful spirit's sick amusement? No longer forced to kill everyone?

I'm sorry you all had to be put through this. My condolences are truly for everyone I've witnessed die here this past year. This includes the ones who were with your group. I'll be sure I'll do something big here. In memory of those we've lost here.

We can worry about that later. Let's just get everyone home first.
Right.

Gene leads the way alongside the Ranger as you all follow them. Just as you all get to the edge to leave the camp, the Ranger snatches Gene in a wristlock. Hey! What the... Fool. You really thought you can rid of me this easily? I have stated I have grown stronger since our last meeting.

The Ranger grabs Gene's head and locks around it like a claw before forcing his head into the barriers, which you all notice are still around. Gene screams as the flesh on his face burns off, the smell of it protruding your noses. Your little chants have never killed me. You might have freed the souls from Blackmoon Forest, but I have just got started again. I have a new plan to gather more souls here. And you shall not interfere anymore. No! Don't kill him! You foolish Ranger! Did you really think this mere human would free you from my bondage? You are just as delusional as he is! You... won't get away with this forever. You have a special place in Hell for what you've done, Gene says weakly. You are actually correct about that, mortal. But not in the way you intend. And speaking of souls, now you can join them. Say goodbye to these fools, mortal. No!

The Ranger, still grasping Gene's head, squeezes into him until his skull crumples like an aluminum can as blood and brain matter dribble down the Ranger's arms. A moment later, Gene's soul drops out of his human body as the dark souls rise up and whisk him away into the unknown, where he too would be tortured just like the others who have died here. The Ranger winds back his/her arm before tossing Gene's corpse to the river, where the Hell Sharks leap out of the water and snatch the body with their jaws before going back to the water. Everyone just sees the water turn red.

And as for you all, you shall remain in my camp. One more possessed among you all. One who will kill off the rest of you. Your souls shall be mine forever. As for the night, the Ting-Lu creature has proven to be most effective. It shall gain my protection for the night.

The red souls come out and revolve around Ting-Lu, to give it nightly immunity among the possessed.

Now the night shall fall soon. Prepare yourselves. Your end is dawning close, The Witch says before giving off a laugh that makes your hearts sink.

Maryann hmms hmmingly. "If someone dies tonight, whoever you jailed is implicitly clear. Conversely, if nobody dies tonight, whoever you jailed is implicitly guilty. ... Barring an attempt at a 7-dimensional box game move where they don't kill anyone just to fuck with us all, I suppose. But I'm pretty sure the numbers on that work out worse for them than just killing people."
nya
"... then again," she adds belatedly, "your power being absurdly good makes you the obvious next target. Specially since nobody else has mentioned having any powers at all. So unless you get lucky and jail the killer or they're hoping to cleverdick their way past the Paladin, you probably won't live to see tomorrow."
nya
So sure of yourselves, are we? It is quite amusing, seeing is there is hardly any of you left. The last one can just as easily slaughter you all in due time.

Everyone heads off to rest for the night and yet another vision appears in their dreams.

ELEANOR VILLAGE, LATE 17TH CENTURY

A young mother of three named Ellen Turner laid unconscious in her own house. Sprawled out on the dusty floor of the living room. Agatha stood over her, looking at her motionless body. "Another one about to fall prey", Agatha said as she went into the kitchen where she has a potion brewing. One that was made from the blood of lizards. Papers of potion recipes spread out all over the counter. It was one that can make people come down ill with a bacterial plague. One that would make the poor soul who came down with it very weak and in great pain. One that would last for days before the one infected with it would die. She was planning to pour it onto the bed of Ellen's children, of which were two girls and a boy. They were all in school right now, so they had no clue what they were about to go into when they would go to bed for the night. She stirred the pot as it boiled longer right before she snatched up the potion recipes and stowed them away into the Turner basement.

While in the basement, the boy of the Turner family had come into the living room. He rushed over to his downed mother and shook her. "Mother, wake up! Wake up, mother! Wake up!" Ellen came to, asking "Winston, why are you not in school?" "It is quite the long story, mother. Are you all right?" "I believe so, Winston. Mrs. Bancroft had paid me a visit and I had some tea. The next thing I knew, I was on the floor. Wait... what is that smell?" Ellen had the smell of death in her nostrils. As if something inside her nasal cavities were rotting away as this moment. She went over to the kitchen and saw the potion brewing. "What? What the?" She came in closer and looked into the pot, but backed away as the smell of it stung her nose where she couldn't breathe. "What is going on here? What could be-" She turned around and saw Agatha.

"Mrs. Bancroft. Perhaps you can clue me into what is happening in my kitchen? I take it there is another witch around here.... and... no... no..." She had now put two-and-two together. She was being set-up. And by Agatha! The same woman who has proved herself to be a hero of God. One who had taken out many witches since her time here. But... it can't be... Agatha can't be a witch... can she? Again, the hero of God. Someone who had preached about the Good Word. Someone who had spoken over the importance of faith in the Almighty. But how? How could she?

"Mrs. Turner. It appears you know too much. I was just going to wait until your execution at the gallows. But now it looks like I'll have to defend myself from the newest witch. Looks like God has a new enemy," Agatha said the last part with the most venomous irony. Agatha smiled as she wrapped her hands around Ellen's neck. "Winston, go! Get help!" "Mother! No! Leave her alone, witch!" Winston attempted to wrestle Agatha off his mother, but Agatha turned her attention to the boy and snatched him instead. "You little brat!", Agatha shouted with all the hatred she had in her body. "You could have made this a lot easier by staying out of my business. You were going to die alongside your sisters and your mother. But now you can wait for them all before they arrive in Hell!" Agatha lifted the boy above the pot of bubbling potion. Ellen, only being over half-a-foot shorter than Agatha, climbed up her back and grasped her son just as Agatha released him from her hands. Before Agatha can react, Ellen pressed her foot into Agatha's lower back as she tipped into the pot, which poured all over the floor and on top of Agatha. Ellen and Winston managed to back away before the liquid made contact with mother and son. Agatha laid there, screaming as it looked like her skin, all raw and red, bubbling over with blisters. Her black dress dampened by the scolding hot potion/ Agatha tried to reach for them, but she could barely make herself move as Ellen and Winston ran out of the house. All Agatha could do is crawl herself out of the kitchen. She made it to the living room after minutes had past. All she needed to do is find something to balance on so she can stand herself up. To leave the area. She saw a chair. She moved along the floor before she put a hand on the seat. Just as she was starting to rise herself up, she froze up as she heard loud voices, all screaming "HALT!"

She looked up and saw the Watchmen. Those who had previously appeared at the most sympathetic over losing her husband. Now all they did is shoot daggers into her. Some of the Watchmen investigated the scene, looking at the spilled potion as well as the potion recipes stowed away in the basement. Now they had surrounded her as they stood her up. One of the Watchmen said to her "Agatha Bancroft, by the powers invested in me by the government of Eleanor Village as well as God Almighty, you are under arrest for the crime of witchcraft as well as the murder attempts of Ellen and Winston Turner. Agatha, you were the savior of this town! You were the best servant God ever had. What could possess you to indulge yourself in witchcraft?" "Do not be fooled by this woman and her child. She is setting me up to be a martyr for God. She know I would stop at nothing to end  Satan's reach in this town." The Watchmen were all skeptical at best over her words as she is hauled out of the Turner household.

While Agatha is stowed away at the Eleanor Village jail, the city issued an investigation into Agatha's home. What they all had found left them speechless. Dozens of papers full of recipes for potions. Those that gave instructions for spells and curses. And if that weren't enough, they also found a list of women. Women that were accused and executed due to taking part in witchcraft. All of them Agatha exposed. Or was she setting them up? A long series of investigations only built up more evidence against Agatha. Although she remained silent when authorities questioned her. And now, she was brought into the courtroom. Where she stood witnessing the women being declared guilty for witchcraft and executed shortly after. But now it was her, standing before the mercy of the Judge.

As everyone sleeps, the last of the possessed hears in their head: You are the last survivor. But it does not mean you can still kill the rest of them off. Go, finish off the mortals. You can still be the sole survivor...

NIGHTTIME IS HERE, DAY WILL START AROUND TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY. EITHER WAY, WILL DO THIS TO GET PTT2 SOME TRACTION
I like bananas. They're yellow.
As you all sleep, you get another vision. You see Eleanor Village, the same town Agatha Bancroft herself resided in during the 17th century. Where it was thought she was a savior only to lead everyone to death. But now, the town itself is empty. No activity in the various homes, businesses, the church or even at the school. In fact, the buildings look like they have been ransacked. Doors broken down, windows shattered. As you look further inside the buildings, you find skeletal remains of the people who resided there. You explore each place and find all kinds of human remains. You all call for help but no one answers. You run outside and see the ground replaced by a pool of blood. The temperature rises as you feel like you're standing right next to the sun, but yet it's not blinding you. You all look up and see the sky, which was gray and cloudy, now replaced by blackness with walls of fire surrounding the building. Then more remains rain onto the town, with some of the parts falling on you. It all feels like large hail as you get knocked into the pool of blood. You all look up and see the Witch's face.

Soon.... this will be reality....

The limbs pelt on you until you're all buried in them, suffocating you all.

You all wake up as the daylight appears. You browse around the camp for missing people and the first thing you notice: Maryann Davis is not in her RV. You all browse around, looking for her. It leads you to the river where you found a severed doll arm...

Well done. You have found a limb of the next victim. Maryann Davis was The Hiker.

"...So they didn't go for me. Would that have been too obvious, or..." Shin says.

"Anyway... guess I can report that Veronica is innocent, as she got jailed with only one killer left among us. Gonna be honest, I wasn't sure who to go for, but at least it would bring us somewhat closer to the truth no matter who I chose!"

As you swing it over to look at it, you slap yourself silly, knocking yourself into the river below, you get caught in the rapid waters and stuck on some rocks. Before you drown, you think you saw some torn up remains that belonged to Maryann. Your corpse is raised out of the water and you're resurrected again.

Fool.

Is it just you or do things here seem a bit more damp than the other RVs?
