[Mafia] Witch Trip 2: The Witch is Back
Ting-Lu perks up when Dorothy's role is revealed.
Ah... So perhaps there is hope for us after all. I had forgotten. We were fortunate this time.

It makes a half-hearted attempt to clean itself by shaking the gore off.

1. One of the people there looks off. Nothing at all like the others. Instead of enjoying the hike, they look at everyone else with bloodlust. They quickly kill off everyone else, leaving you as the sole survivor. And you're next. Find a way to escape from this deranged person. Or defend yourself.
Ting-Lu fights with Earthquake and Throat Chop. The Vessel of Ruin passively weakens any magical/ranged attacks the attacker may have.

2. Time rewinds back to the start of the hiking trip. You and your group go on like normal. Then suddenly, you feel something tuck into your body. And now you hear voices telling you to kill everyone here. No matter how hard you resist, your own willpower weakens to the point where it ceases to exist. Now all you want to do is kill your hiking group. There are no other options. Kill them all. Make it bloody. And make sure none of them survive.
Ting-Lu has enough time to recognise what's happening before its resistance crumbles. Presumably its existing paranoia was intensified, though it's none too happy with the circumstances its (attempted) rampage will take place under, given that Dorothy was indeed one of the possessed. Oh, come on...
Ting-Lu ignores the part about "making it bloody" in favour of ruthless efficiency.
It waits until everyone is gathered, then attacks them all at once with Earthquake. If that's not enough, Rock Slide should thin their numbers to the point the stragglers can be picked off with Throat Chops.

3. Time rewinds once again. Now one of your hiking group members go and kill everyone else, including you. You briefly have a chance to look down at your dead body before the dark souls pull you into the ground where you end up in a Hell-like place and Agatha herself stands over you. She has her dark souls rip into your soul body. You feel their lashes burn and bleed. You wouldn't think dead spirits can do that, but you end up surprised. But in your pain, you look around and see the past victims being tortured right now. Why you even think you see your fallen companions at the camp such as Claudette, Ai, Popo and Dorothy. But also, you think you see a light. High up, seemingly out of reach. This may be your only way to escape though. Head to the light and see if you can't escape from this hell.
Ting-Lu guesses this is another illusion. At this rate, it could be wrong if/when Agatha genuinely decides to keep it dead.
It also guesses that the witch's home turf is no place to fight her, so decides to run to the light. Poor mobility makes it difficult. Its resistance to Ghost and general juggernaut-like fortitude, on the other hand, not so much. They can give it a lot of time that it'll need.
It charges straight for the light, Throat Chopping any obstacles that can't be pushed aside by its momentum.
If it gets cornered, it'll go for a last stand. Earthquake to thin their numbers and Throat Chop to take out stragglers. If the witch herself is in range, it'll prioritise her when it can.
What else needs saying?
TRIPLE STAR
That's what you are.
Amazing!
1. Phikul's learned ( the hard way ) that his bardic magic is useless here. And he can't make the forest around him bend to his will the way his sibling does. And even they, a full spirit, aren't that good at it either, so what chance does a half-blood like him have?
Among the warriors of the Malukkapyuha, he is the only one who fights with words and melodies rather than strength and weapons, but the latter seems to be the only solution to the situation at hand.
He doubts himself, remembering how his arms trembled like leaves when he handled Lord Setamalukka's legendary sabre. How his bones felt like they would give away and send him lying crumpled beneath the blade.
But he pushes those memories aside as he scrabbles towards a tree, shifting into a humanoid as he grabs onto a branch. He eventually manages to snap it off.
The person draws closer.
Without a second thought, he plunges the splintered end of the branch into them, then shifts into a dove and flies away, disappearing into the sky.

2. Phikul's Forest-Spirit nature overtakes him. Not the instinct of a graceful, ethereal protector of nature, but something more primal. He is not a mere guardian any longer, but a force of nature, perhaps even nature itself.
Trees become clawed hands that strangle the hikers. Golden, deer-like shapes appear from the shadows, closing in on the survivors. But these antlered phantoms are no mere illusions. The bloody mess of antler-impaled, hoof-crushed bodies is all too real.
He cannot see the carnage he has caused, but the sounds, the smell that hangs in the air, that's enough to satisfy the bloodthirsty Spirit.

3.Amidst the blurred visions of his spirit-vision, Phikul can make out a bright spot of light.
He wonders if this is another trick of the evil Spirits. They're are all too familiar to him.
But once again, there seems to be no other way.
So as with before, he turns into a dove, trying his best to ignore the phantom pains, and flies into the light.

1. The possessed one goes on the attack against you. Trying to find a way to break into your skin. However, you're much more tougher than that. The Earthquake and Throat Chop easily takes care of the killer.

Rolled 4 and 3+ for durability for 7.

2. You go on the warpath instantly. While it's not quite as bloody as what other people do, your Earthquake move is more than enough as you cause debris and trees to fall on top of everyone, crushing them all with no resistance. You're quite powerful enough to not need any bladed instruments, so why not use your own skills?

Rolled 9.

3. You try to reach the light. You try to chop your way through the natural obstacles that get in your way. But upon the hole itself that rests above you, you try to climb out of it. But you have no way out as you just fall back down into the ground. The souls take you over. Your resistance to ghosts do you no good here as you are in a weakened state, with Agatha zapping you alive with her abilities. She lets out a powerful burst of energy that shoots you upwards and rips you through the light and back onto Earth. But at the cost of you being near-death.

Rolled 3 and 3- for lack of grasp ability for 0.

Ting-Lu has scored a total of 16 points.

You wake up among the Camp as if nothing happened. Was it a dream? Was it reality? You're not really sure.

1. The branch does the trick as you stab the possessed one right through the heart. You don't even look back as you fly away in your dove form.

Rolled 8.

2. You take control of the trees as well as your own phantom beings. But the group is more resourceful than they appeared to be. They avoid everything you throw at them as they gather around you and kill you without any of them taking any losses.

Rolled 2.

3. Your dove form easily gets through the light. You manage to avoid the Witch and the dark spirits with ease as you escape, back to Earth.

Rolled 9.

1. Veronica uses telepathy to try to send the killer into confusion long enough to barricade herself in her RV with whatever sharp knife she can find in the kitchen. If they can't get in, great! If they do, that's what the knife is for, and hopefully she can hack and slash at them until they're dead, or throw it into some particularly vulnerable part of their body.

2. Too bad she washed all the blood off because this is gonna be the Carrie rampage time and being all covered in blood would be the right look for it. Presuming her psychic abilities are enhanced by the possession, the rest of the group is going to get everything heavy and/or sharp thrown at them, find themselves knocked around by telekinesis, hear awful things in their heads to drive them mad, and... okay she probably still can't full on kill them with their mind but might be able, in this state, to muster something a bit more than just "make them a little itchy".

3. She is going to try not to think about the others right now, much as she liked them... well, maybe not Dorothy so much in the end due to her being, well, possessed. Anyway she is focusing all her willpower, every bit of her speed she can muster, fighting if she has to trying to use her powers, the same way she fought off the hands last time, to climb her way out of hell. Her mind is as focused on this as it can be.
Stupid doomed timeline...
Doll casts Shahrazad!
1. One of the people there looks off. Nothing at all like the others. Instead of enjoying the hike, they look at everyone else with bloodlust. They quickly kill off everyone else, leaving you as the sole survivor. And you're next. Find a way to escape from this deranged person. Or defend yourself.
Maryann gets equipped with her most deadly yoyos and prepares to make good on that implied threat - she opens with a weighted yoyo strike to the head, hoping to shatter this fuckass's skull. If that's no good, she'll settle for entangling him so she can bash him to death into the trees. And of course, if it turns out fighting isn't working, she always has the option to pull a Ladybug and zip away to safety.

Kill them. Kill them all. Earn your crown.

Maryann is just a doll. Her whole purpose is to be played with. Of course she gives in to the bloodlust.

She starts by picking off the loners, waiting for them to wander into the woods, then yanking them into the trees to be garroted, or sliced into pieces, or set on fire, or... man, she really does have a wide selection of deadly yoyos.

Once the group realizes they need to stop wandering off on their own, she starts yanking people into the trees just because they got a little close. Of course they'll have realized at this point that she's the killer, but they can't stop her. They can't even approach her without losing their life.

Soon she'll have only one victim left. She could pounce them at any moment, but no, ohohoho no. She takes a signature item from everyone she's gotten so far and uses them to build the ultimate execution trap. Then she kills the last one.

3. Time rewinds once again. Now one of your hiking group members go and kill everyone else, including you. Do dolls even have souls? Apparently this one does. Not the way she was hoping to learn the answer to this question.

But a light high up... well. Guess who habitually carries around grappling yoyos. ... Before she leaves, Maryann looks around for the other campers. No point leaving them behind when she can get out this easily. She'll haul everyone out one by one if she has to.

Her mind is as focused on this as it can be.

1. There's one problem with that. You're not at the camp right now, you're at the forest. And as such there are no RVs here. However, the best you can do is climb up a high tree to avoid the killer. They do climb up the tree but you kick them away and they fall to the ground and break a few of their bones. So at least you're safe.

Rolled 6.

2. But you really overestimate your abilities. You gain control of everyone all right. But instead of slamming them against each other, you slam them all on top of you. You don't quite have the mastery like you think you do. And as such, all the bodies of the group (they're still alive BTW) on top of your small body crushes you to death or you suffocate with all of them on you. Either way, you die painfully.

Rolled 4 and 3- for overconfidence for 1.

3. You speed through everything as you reach the light. But due to your quick feet, you gain the attention of the dark souls, resulting in a chase. You manage to pull yourself back to Earth. But shortly after escaping, the dark souls alongside zombies rise out of the grave and they're all after you. You might have found the light, but something else came out with you and they're all looking to bring you back to the dark.

Rolled 9 and 2+ (because it maxed out the cap) for your quickness for 11.

Veronica has scored a total of 18 points.

You wake up among the Camp as if nothing happened. Was it a dream? Was it reality? You're not really sure.

1. That did the trick all right. You knocked the poor soul's head clean off. But then you get way into it and swing around the yo-yo like you're at the rodeo, whacking some trees, creating something of a domino effect. You stand tall above all the trees you just killed. Perhaps it's time to consider a career as a yo-yoing lumberjack?

Rolled 9 and maxed out the cap with your yo-yoing skills for 11.

2. Now it's your turn to do the killing and you make damn sure everyone dies. First with the loners, you yank them into the trees with such force, they instantly break their necks. Then as they team together, you cannot be stopped as you slice them all to shreds with your sharpened yo-yos. Then with the one sole survivor, you come up with the ultimate contraption. One that is terrifying, one that is so unspeakable, it strikes much fear into the survivor. They freeze solid right before you go in for the kill. Not much remains of the unlucky one. The Witch is so impressed with your performance, she teleports you out into a more populated area and uses you to kill them as a means to gain more souls. While Agahta is a viewed as an urban legend for the most part, you, on the other hand, have become feared throughout the world. Everyone dreads your name: Maryann Davis, the possessed doll who makes Chucky look like pre-school play.

Rolled 8 and 3+ for yo-yo skills for 11.

3. You manage to escape easily with your grappling yo-yos. While none of the still-living campers are around, you do however take some of the tortured souls with you. You can't free all of them, but you got just enough for you take to the light. You and the others are now free.

Rolled 7.

Maryann Davis has scored a total of 29 points.

You wake up among the Camp as if nothing happened. Was it a dream? Was it reality? You're not really sure.
I like bananas. They're yellow.
Maryann adjusts her crown, looking sheepish. "I always figured I'd earn this thing for like, arson and software piracy and stuff."

Black fog overtakes you all. You lose consciousness and all feeling to your bodies before your minds can even register it. The next thing you know, you all wake up into a forest. Killing them then bringing them back to life again? Repeating it on-and-on. Are you trying to break these people? Very astute, Ranger. You answered your own question. Fancy yourself a genius? Yes, I get the urge to twist the minds of these mortals. Leave them all where they all beg me to kill them. Then I would take their souls to torture for my ends. You see? No matter what mood I am in, I always find a way for you all to entertain me. Now perhaps it is time for you all to see what life was like before I came to this camp... life back in my old resting place.

Black fog overtakes you all. You lose consciousness and all feeling to your bodies before your minds can even register it. The next thing you know, you all wake up into a forest. You are all separated from your companions at the camp. Now each of you are in a group with new people. A part of what appears to be a hiking trip across the forest.

1. One of the people there looks off. Nothing at all like the others. Instead of enjoying the hike, they look at everyone else with bloodlust. They quickly kill off everyone else, leaving you as the sole survivor. And you're next. Find a way to escape from this deranged person. Or defend yourself.

1: *[Jenny uses her small stature to try and hide in the dark forest... keep moving... and hide in plain sight, using your small stature...]*

2: ... *[Jenny proceeds to craft a wooden spear out of nearby fliage... or at least... attempts to make some sort of spear with the nearby branches and rocks...]*

3: *[Jenny takes a literal leap of faith. Clutching her rabbit dolls, she hurls herself into the light...]*

1. You manage to hide pretty well from the killer. Sure, the bunny dolls are a danger to your stealth. But the killer brushes it off as mere forest life. You manage to keep under the radar all the way through.

Rolled 9 and 3- for the bunny dolls for 6.

2. Assuming you mean foliage, but you make a spear with a branch and even manage to tip it off with some poison ivy as well as some rattlesnake's venom. You go on the attack, stabbing everyone you see with the spear. You don't kill them instantly. You just prick them and watch them all withe in pain as the venom kills them all. You've grown to enjoy the sights and sounds of their suffering.

Rolled 9 and maxed out to 11 with your intelligence.

3. You have to really get a running start and put all your body into the jump. It was close, but you made it through.

Rolled 6.

You wake up among the Camp as if nothing happened. Was it a dream? Was it reality? You're not really sure.

"Oh...oh shit..."

1. With no special powers or great strength to speak of, Stan climbs up a tree in panicked fear and rests on a stable, big branch. If he's followed up, he will break a smaller, thinner tree branch from above and attempt to poke the killer's eyes with it.

2. Stan immediately looks around for anything that could start a fire - worst case scenario he'll just rub two sticks - and immediately sets a tree ablaze. Forest fire, bitch!

3. Stan tries his best to claw his way through hell to get to the light from above.

1. "If you want a fight, I'm up for the challenge..." Shin dodges the killer's attacks, fighting back whenever there's an opening with his punches and kicks.

2. "Kill everyone here... if that's my mission, I'll go through with it." Shin rushes towards the others one or a few at a time, chopping them up with his sword, going up to them from behind to snap their neck, or just beating them to death. All while lowering the framerate.

3. Shin looks up towards the light and does his best to reach it. Climbing up on and jumping from and between anything - or anyone - he sees, always getting higher up and reaching towards the light.

1. You find a tall enough tree to climb on. You reach at the top. The killer sees you going up it though and climbs after you. But you have your branch handy and you poked the eye out of the killer, blinding them. Can't kill you if they don't see you.

Rolled 6.

2. You find a container of gas that happened to be laying around and some matches. You had to chase some people around but you get them fueled and lit up. That certainly did the trick. But maybe there was an easier way?

Rolled 5.

3. You are nowhere close to getting to the light. You try to jump for it as hard as you can. But it's so out of reach. Eventually you give up as the dark souls take over your body and kill you.

Rolled 2.

1. You're more than prepared to take down the killer. The killer is no match for your fists and feet as you defeat the killer with ease.

Rolled 5 and 3+ for fighting skills for 8.

2. The hiking group, however, is much more resourceful than they look. They manage to do more than hold their own in their fight for survival. They gang up on you as they beat your down. But a funny thing happened. As each of them go for the killing blow, they accidentally stab themselves on your sword as you hold it high up in the air. All of them do. They're all like lemmings jumping off the cliff as they all try to kill you. Eventually, you get up and see their corpses before you. You killed everyone, yet you didn't really have to do anything.

Rolled 1.

3. As you jump from wall to wall, you end up jumping right into a demonic hell-hound that locks its claws into your body. It chews you up and shakes you around before it throws you into the air... straight into the light, where you land safely. But you have huge gashes in your abdomen from the teeth marks.

It was a delight testing all of you, bringing out your darkness. I know you mortals. No matter how hard you try to be saintly, everyone has that kernel in their minds and souls. That kernel that needs nurturing until you bring out who you are truly meant to become. Unleash your inner demon. What do you hope to accomplish? Just corrupt everyone until they become twisted like you? It is a possibility... if they prove useful for me. And it is you, Maryann Davis, that has shown your true potential. If you happen to fend off the rest of my possessed, I might find a use for you after all... if you survive that long, that is. But you will get at least one more night.

Red souls rise out of the ground and revolve themselves around Maryann, giving her immunity for the night.

For the rest of you, I eagerly await which one of your souls I will claim next.

"Haah... at least that made for some good training..." Shin says, mostly pleased with the results.

My victory snatched away, but a victory won nonetheless. A shame about one of those, the other no shame shall befall. We shall see how this goes, though... Tonight, we shall see what comes of this. The General, if he speaks true of his condition, shall fall tonight, but who else shall not arise tomorrow?

But our route is nonetheless clear. Put your trust in me, such that you may receive the blessing of Alksorkhin tonight, that I may aid you and protect you in the dawn.
I am the They who says it!
If nothing else... I will ensure justice for the executed, and terror for the possessed.
