[Mafia] Witch Trip 2: The Witch is Back (SIGNUPS CLOSED)

A year has passed since the rumors of Blackmoon Forest were confirmed to be true. A group of hikers made their way to the forest and only several survived. They confirmed that Agatha Bancroft's spirit did indeed haunt the forest and forced people to kill each other. A long investigation went underway and recovered the remains of over 2'000 people who had went there and disappeared for the past 300 years. While the story peaked interest and led several people to stay away from the Forest, those who came by the forest were able to walk out of it since the day Agatha herself died in the forest those hundreds of years ago. But little did anyone know Agatha was not truly dead. She was now living in a new body and she simply chose a new ground to restore her legend.

Her new home is now at Camp Rhinestone, which is not all that far off from Blackmoon Forest. Since her arrival, any vacationer that chose to reside here met a bloody end. She has now close over a hundred in body count. And she's looking to bring in new victims for her to torture and kill. But death is only the beginning for the poor souls.

And you and a new group are on the way to Camp Rhinestone. And none of you have a clue what you're about to go into...

Gameplay
Witch Trip 2: The witch is back indeed. And like the first one, this is a mafia-style murdergame. Players are aligned to either the Innocent or Possessed sides, both sides with their different goals. The goal of the Innocents is to vote off the scum, while the Possessed's goal is to kill of the town members until their numbers are equal or less. Each side will have their own abilities that can be used to meet their goals in-game. Actions and kills can be done each night. Towards the end of each day, players will be taking part in challenges that are RNG-based and will have strength-weakness modifiers (ala CC2). The one who performs the best will receive nightly immunity. Should there be a tie, a tiebreaker challenge will be given to those and the one who performs the best will will the immunity.



Roles
INNOCENT

Paladin: Each night, the Paladin can choose one player and whatever actions get performed on the player, the Paladin will be targeted instead. For example, if the Jailer chooses a Seer to be jailed and the Paladin chooses the Seer, the Paladin would be jailed instead. It also applies to Possessed kills; where if one Possessed chooses someone to kill and the Paladin chooses that player, the Paladin will die in place.

Outsider: If investigated by the Seer, you will come up as a "POSSESSED".

Seer: Has the ability to investigate one player's alignment every night.

Vigilante: Has the ability to kill any player they think is Possessed. If the player is Possessed, they will die. But if the player is Innocent, both the Innocent and Vigilante will die.

Huntsman: Has the ability to be the bodyguard of one player each night. If a Possessed goes after the protected target, both the Huntsman and Possessed will kill each other, while the one who was protected will live.

Jailer: Has the ability to protect one player every two days from being killed, but the one who gets protected will be role-blocked.

Fisherman: Has the ability to send a player a fish every single night. That's it. The fish doesn't do anything; it's just a mere gag role.

Hiker: You have no special abilities; you're just here to enjoy the trip.

POSSESSED

Dark Creature: Has the ability to poison the player: i.e. they will be role-blocked that night you choose to do so and they will die the following night. Can only be done once. Note that during the role-blocking phase, any other kills can still be performed that night. Do note that even if the Poisoned one wins the daily challenge, they will still die. So it might be within their best interest to sit the challenge out. The poison will go through even if the person is jailed or under protection of the Huntsman.

Role Officer: Each night, the Role Officer can choose one Innocent player and learn what their role is.

The Mask: If investigated by the Seer, will show up as "Innocent".

THIRD PARTY

The Unliving: To win the game, the Unliving must be killed at night. If the Unliving ends up in a night kill, they will be revived the following day and have to choose one person to be executed before winning. If the Unliving is not killed before the game ends, they will lose. The unliving can die from either a regular night kill or the Dark Creature poison kill. Unliving cannot win by being voted off; they will be executed as normal.



Rules
  1. No god-modding allowed. Your character is the only character you can control. No one else can change other characters or settings without the permission of the hosts and/or players (if it involves one of the players).
  2. No turbo-lurking allowed. It is expected that anyone who signs up to play this game to participate regularly as much as they can and not give out any meaningless posts just to skirt by. If two game days pass by without any significant posts from a player, they will be notified and asked if they can still participate. If you can no longer participate, let the host know and a replacement will be sought. Do not leave the host or anyone hanging on whether or not you can participate.
  3. (For the scum) If you become a scum, it is expected that you kill someone everyday as it is your role in-game. One person has to be killed every night, so don't stall. Failure to kill someone when the night phase is up will result in one random player being killed off. It could be a town or a scum, so get killing. It will be in the best interest of everyone.
  4. Do note that if you die in the game and wish to replace back in if a spot opens up, you are free to do so. And because of this, if you get killed during the night, you will not know who killed you. The only exception to this rule is if you were scum because you know who the other scummates are. Also if you are a scum player who died, do not give away who the other scum players are, not even in the private Discord deadchat. 
  5. While jerkassery is all right IC, it is stated however that you don't be a jerk to your players OOC. Be respectful and cool with your players. And while jerkassery and the occasional off-color comment is acceptable, no NSFW, inappropriate or otherwise disruptive actions (i.e. Bill's Brother or Elizabeth Afton) will be tolerated in-game.
  6. Remain in-character in thread.
  7. If you're dead, you can no longer post in the thread. You are still however free to spectate. However, do not give away the killers or any clues outside the thread. Otherwise, you will be permanently banned from the game.
  8. And above all else, have fun with your characters and the game. But if you're not having fun, you can drop out. That's cool, too.

* Name: Ai and Popo


* Age: Ai is in her thirties, while Popo is physically and mentally a child.


* Height and Weight: Ai is of average height for an adult woman. Popo is more-or-less the height of a 9-year old.


* Backstory and Abilities: Ai is a scientist working for a mysterious organization called the O.D.T Foundation, who studies strange, paranormal happenings, entities, and anomalies throughout the world. One day, when a meteor crashed in rural Japan, she was sent to study it. From the meteor emerged a gooey, white being that suddenly takes the shape of a little boy. Ai then became attached to him, named him Popo, and eventually raises him as her son. As the days go, his color became pink. Popo also possesses unusual powers; he can eat anything with no ill effects, whether it's dirt, grass, wood, rocks, bricks, metal, arsenic, even nuclear waste. He also has the ability to inhale what he eats like a vacuum cleanet. Not only that, he can gain different abilities if he eats certain things. For example, eating flames, cinder, a lighter, or anything burning gives him fire powers, while eating ice blocks or something frozen gives him ice powers. Here is a list of his arsenal:

  • Fire: Eating fiery things such as cinders or lighters will grant him the ability to make and control fire, shooting flames from his hands.
  • Ice: Eating cold things such as ice blocks gives him the ability to freeze things and manipulate the cold.
  • Lightning: Eating electric things such as batteries will grant him the ability to shoot electricity from his hands and manipulate them.
  • Wind: Eating something that can make wind such as fans gives him the ability to control wind. He can knock down other things and can even fly!
  • Sword: Eating sharp, bladed weapons gives him a sword and expert swordmanship, as well as a green cap looking rather like Link's.
  • Hammer: Eating a hammer or mallet gives him a hammer and the ability to skillfully use it to whack enemies.
  • Gun: Eating a gun or firearms will give him a blaster/gun and gunslinger skills. Now he can shoot enemies!
Of course, Ai is also well-prepared, bringing a gun, taser, and knife in her travels, as well as some food supplies like energy bars and drinks. Today, Ai is sent by her organization to study the mysterious anomaly in Camp Rhinestone. Popo is simply tagging in, since he wants to see the forests up close. Also worth noting is that Popo brings along snacks.

* Strengths and Weaknesses (there must be at least one of each):
  • Ai's Strengths: Ai is a kindhearted, empathetic woman. As a scientist, she's pretty smart and good with technology, her usual activities means that she has a pretty good knowledge on the wilderness, nature and the supernatural, and she's a well-prepared person who is good with weaponry. She's also determined, particularly for the sake of her son's safety.
  • Ai's Weakness: Ai is not particularly strong, since she's just a normal human.
  • Popo's Strengths: Popo can quite literally eat anything humans cannot, even minerals, arsenic, and nuclear waste. By eating certain things he can also gain new powers depending on what he eats (See above). He's also kind, idealistic, energetic, and pretty determined, especially when it comes to protecting his mother, and is pretty agile too. He also mostly sees the best in people, is pretty empathetic, and has good knowledge of nature, though not to his adopted mother's extent. He's also more durable than your average human child.
  • Popo's Weaknesses: Powers aside, Popo is still a child. He's pretty naive, not very bright, and easily distracted. He also sometimes gets pretty stubborn and slightly reckless, and this, coupled with his naivety, can get him in trouble.

* Appearance: See picture below. She has magenta hair, pale eyes, and a scar across her nose. She wears a ribbon in her hair and a Wednesday Addams style dress over black leggings and black shoes.

* Height and Weight: Around the average size for her age, probably about 5'4" and 110-115 pounds?

* Backstory and Abilities: As a small child she realized she had some psychic abilities. They're not terribly strong though; her limited telekinesis manifests in things like "make the target object wobble a bit or fall off a shelf", she will claim she can kill you with her mind but all she'll do is make you itchy. The thing she does actually have pretty well is telepathy; she can easily project her thoughts to people and pick up on thoughts people project to her. (She can't just invade people's minds and read them if they don't want to be read, though; they've got to be actively thinking in her direction.) She has had prophetic dreams too but they're of the more "symbolic/metaphorical" variety and she doesn't usually try to interpret them unless they seem really important (...so don't expect that to come up here either lol)

* Strengths and Weaknesses (there must be at least one of each):

Strengths: She's got a quick wit and when not being off-putting has decent people skills (...or at least she's good at reading people. She's also pretty quick on her feet.

Weaknesses: She can be a bit on the cocky side and loves to overstate her abilities. She's not the strongest person physically (since she figures that when her telekinesis gets stronger she wouldn't have any use for lifting things).

She also knows how to whittle things in wood. (Carries a knife and a lighter.)
* Strengths and Weaknesses (there must be at least one of each): Creative and artistic, very good at crafting bull theories and maybe even making people believe them. Her ability to craft things can also come in handy. At the same time, she can also be a bit susceptible to others' crank theories.

Age: Unknown, but the cauldron is ancient, so at least centuries, if not millennia old.
* Height and Weight: 270cm (8'10'') and 699.7kg (1542.6 lbs) respectively.
* Backstory and Abilities: Its true form is the cauldron on its head, given life by the fears and ambitions poured into it; the earthy cervid body is just a construct. It is (ironically) not prone to anxiety, and frequently naps.†1 It can be stubborn, cautious, difficult to frighten, cynical (especially of humanity) and a puckish schemer, but those all come second to its laid-backness.
The power of the cursed cauldron on its head, known as the "Vessel of Ruin", weakens the magical/ranged power of all others (including allies, but not itself) in its presence, causing attacks falling into that category to deal less damage.
It can learn many moves, but can only use four on-demand at any one time.†2 These include:

"Bulldoze": a Ground attack that slows anything it hits.
"Earthquake": a powerful Ground attack.

* Strengths: It can take a phenomenal amount of punishment even from unresisted attacks.
Its physical strength is above-average. It's proficient in Dark and Ground attacks, boosting their power.
It is resistant to the Dark, Ghost, Poison and Rock types and immune/extremely resistant to Electric and Psychic, taking reduced damage from them. These respectively translate to dirty tricks or malevolence, spectral/spiritual energy attacks, venomous attacks (but not being poisoned), rock-based attacks, electricity-based attacks and psychic powers.
* Weaknesses: Its movements and reaction times are sluggish.
It lacks arms or anything to grasp with aside from its mouth.
Its size may mean it could have difficulty fitting into tight spaces or even an average room.
It is weak to the Bug, Fairy, Fighting, Grass, Ice and Water types, taking extra damage from them. These respectively translate to insect-related attacks, fae-related and some lunar attacks, martial arts/justice/ki attacks, plant-based attacks, ice attacks and water attacks.

Name: General Konji Lonjummu

Age:
50 in Earth years (appx. 200 in Meletian years)

Height/Weight: 22' (6.7m), about 1 ton

Backstory and Abilities: Like Macci to Letwaf, General Konji is the right-hand man to King Lelfe. He lost his hand to an infection and can breathe fire if sufficiently aggravated as a residual symptom. Has a history of being extremely honorable in terms of deals, but brutal if any of his deals are broken. Konji has no idea how he got here, though he suspects punishment from the gods.

Strengths: Cunning and strategic, can read people decently well. Breathes fire as mentioned, though much smaller than his home planet.
Weaknesses: Specific about things to a fault, especially the stipulations of a deal. Slower than smaller people due to his large size, and becoming somewhat frail in his old age.

Other: Speaks in this text. Voice like Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. May swear in his native tongue.

Name: Talantravi "Ahlksorkhin"

Age: Debatable, but one of 27, 70something, 10, or 3, depending on how age is defined and whether the stories told about her are true or not. An adult by any of those metrics though.

Height and Weight: She's 6'4'' and 200 pounds out of armor. 230ish in armor, and she rarely takes her armor off.

Backstory: Three years ago, there was a hunter. He entered a forest to hunt the greatest of the wolves, the great she-wolf, the one who travelled alone, the one who had terrorized the region for years. No one knows what happened in there, but neither the hunter nor the wolf emerged again. What emerged was Talantravi Ahlksorkhin, and she set about ravaging the world, claiming all land she set foot upon as rightfully land of her forest, a being of both wolf and human, both hunters. Or so some claim. Others claim she was a smith's apprentice who convinced a travelling noble that a rake with a really long handle is the optimal pole-arm that no one else could make and took the enormous amount of money from the sale to reinvent herself. Still others claim she is the wolf alone from her story, or perhaps she is the hunter instead, and always was. Much about her is shrouded in mystery, and she likes it that way. She'll correct seemingly trivial details about any story, but never truly contradict any of the ones she hears about her.

Regardless, she still intends to "extend the forest", even into lands with no trees, and if she has to destroy everyone in her way to do that, witch-who-refuses-to-stay-dead or no, so it will be.

Abilities: Talantravi seems to have some degree of control over the animals of the forest, even when by all logic she shouldn't. She can wield a bow or an axe with great expertise, and she is durable to a slightly disturbing extent. Her very presence carries with it an atmosphere of oppression and fear.

Strengths: She's extremely durable, barely even reacting to injury, it's almost impossible to stop her once she's got even a little momentum. She once impaled herself all the way through a spear to get close enough to bite through someone's throat, or so it is said. She's certainly not denying it.

She's passively intimidating to be near for any length of time for all forms of life and unlife, including animals, plants, the undead, and even single-celled life (also viruses but she knows nothing about viruses). Anything that might attack her may try to avoid her instead, or may try to do as she commands rather than face her, if she gets close enough.

She's also a really good archer. Not superhumanly good, but able to hit targets at a fair distance (even while on horseback)

Weaknesses: Her intimidating aura is passive and she can't turn it off. She's unlikely to get help, even if she needs it, because anything that otherwise would be inclined to help her will run, if it can.

She's incautious, believing that her ability to endure nearly anything makes her even more intimidating, and will often choose to go through a harsh situation rather than avoid it, if it's more than slightly out of her way. While it is true that someone running at you at the same speed whether they have a bear trap on their leg and a caltrop through their other foot or neither of those is intimidating and impressive, most would agree it would probably be better to not step on those things in the first place.

* Name: Phikultong Suwannamalukka ( Phikul is fine )
* Age: Time doesn't exactly exist where he comes from, but he's been there long enough to have three-pointed antlers, the mark of an adult stag, though not long enough for the spots on his back to fade away completely.
* Height and Weight: A proper measurement system doesn't exist in the Endless Linn either, but he towers over the vast majority of humans and ( non-supernatural ) deer.
* Backstory and Abilities: Prince of the Endless Linn, a magical forest in another world. His half-spirit nature means he is bound to the forest and has access to its magic, though not as much as a full spirit and his power is significantly weakened when he is far away from home. 
Most of his magic is stored in his voice; he can generate magic particles that resemble golden phikul flowers out of his mouth. These can store messages, a bit like supernatural recording devices. He can also perform spells that are meant to be sung. 
Not related to his voice, Phikul may be blind, but “spirit vision” allows him to make out some lines of movement, though it's sometimes hard to tell what's real and what's just a hallucination, so he relies on other cues most of the time.
He also has an uncanny talent for mimicking voices, but doesn't have much use for it nowadays.

* Backstory and Abilities: A fairly average 4th grader from the small Colorado mountain town of South Park. He is fairly smart for his age, and participates in most of the sports at his school. He is also a natural leader, and leads his friend group at school. He tends to be loyal to his friends and girlfriend. He's also musically proficient, having played guitar or sang for three different bands (the boy band Fingerbang, the rock band Moop, and the death metal group Crimson Dawn).
* Strengths and Weaknesses (there must be at least one of each): While he is tender, he can come across as moody sometimes. He has a gift for calling out scams and fads when they come around, but his resistance to them can make him seem overly cynical. While he is smart for his age, he is still a 10 year old, meaning that he has the average physical abilities of a child, and any adult could probably beat him easily in a fight.

Just an FYI. I am going to be leaving town for the next couple days. If anyone's interested in this game, don't feel shy to fill out an app. But do understand during these next couple days I will be slow to process these because I won't be near a computer and I won't do this on mobile because it's too difficult for me to do so. * Backstory and Abilities: His powers include powerful fighting skills, photon swords, and framerate drops. Part of the Amon Clan of assassins, Shin was trained from a young age to be a powerful fighter. Because of this, he aims to be the strongest and sees this as his goal in life. If he takes notice of someone who seem close to his power, he'll send them a challenge. At first, he might seem somewhat serious and overly dramatic (at least most of the time), though if you manage to break through this, he's a surprisingly chill guy.
* Strengths and Weaknesses (there must be at least one of each): Like mentioned, he's a powerful fighter with a bunch of weird powers. However, he can get too arrogant and focused on "revenge" at times, and can deep down be insecure about not being strong enough and not living up to his potential or clan's reputation.

* Strengths: Good at yoyoing. Physically immune to pain. Good at not giving a damn.
* Weaknesses: Can be extremely abrasive towards people she doesn't like. Being light as hell makes it easy to push her around. She probably runs on magic, which seems like a potential liability in this setting.
* Other: oh look we finally gave our yoyo doll a name, let's see if we stick with it
