"I do want to look at all of the possibilities here, especially with only one small piece of evidence. So... the obvious choice would be that Ruby did it and got a bit sloppy when cleaning up, leaving a single hair behind. There is also the possibility that someone took one of Ruby's hairs in order to frame her. Why her particularly I don't know. The other possibility is that the killer took one of the hairs off of our darker-haired victim, and left it deliberately after the fire died down, again with the possible attempt to frame Ruby."

"Very often, though, the simplest explanation is the best. Occam's Razor and all that. I... I didn't want to believe that Ruby could be a killer. She's my roommate.
