I think only I should be completely immortal so I can take over the world single-handedly and fix all the dumb stuff, and then conquer the universe, and then ultimately live almost all of the time in a dark void populated mostly with nothing but occasionally black holes and iron stars, but so utterly broken by the eternal solitude that I swing right back around to thinking everything is fine actually and that's an adequate state of affairs.

I assume most people would not be interested in condemning cats to that, and I have strange taste in things to do, so there's that.
