In a lot of my dreams, I'm either playing something or watching something.
There's another type of dream I have; I have a first-person view of something happening in something resembling the real world. These generally are more disturbing because of what happens in them.

I also often have dreams with buildings with completely nonsensical floorplans
why yes of course I have to crawl through the ceiling in the linen closet to get to my bedroom or jump through a weird hole to access the basement because the basement stairs only work when you walk up them not down them sure that makes sense.
