I keep trying to turn on "Enable my signature in all of my existing posts" but whenever I do so the option resets to "No action" for some reason

oh my fucking god it was somehow your user groups

i went through all the user groups and manually enabled signatures in all of them

apparently "allow signatures" being unchecked in mod groups because we're lazy overrides it being checked in normal groups

omfg x2 combo because none of our mods were even in Registered of course they weren't getting permissions attached to that group

it was 100% us being dumb and the computer was doing exactly what it should have done with the blatantly objectively wrong orders we gave it
