Fun fact: The term "Radical Feminist" refers to a kind of feminism that holds the idea that there is something essentially sexist about men. The term TERF refers to Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminists, who also believe (in addition to the aforementioned belief) that transgender women are not real women. However, while most TE feminists are Radical Feminists, if a TE feminist does not believe that men are inherently sexist they are not TERFs. Theoretically, there can also be TELFs (Trans-Exclusionary Libertarian Feminists), TECFs (Trans-Exclusionary Conservative Feminists), and TEMFs (Trans-Exclusionary Marxist Feminists). However, there are no TEPFs (Trans-Exclusionary Postmodernist Feminists), as Postmodernist Feminism is always in support of transgenders.
This has been today's edition of Clancy's Fun Facts. Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?

ugh im stuck on the last part of my homework, can anyone please help me
im doing a graphic organizer based on two articles about capital punishment and i need to list the logical fallacies present in both arguments

what are they about

the death penalty
and why it is either DEFINITELY 100% WRONG and DEFINITELY 100% RIGHT there's no gray areas in these things
03-09-2021, 18:37:30 PM
if you're looking for logical fallacies then maybe you should try to understand what makes their arguments unconvincing
maybe a compare-and-contrast sort of thing? check the evidence used? You know where you are? You're in the jungle baby.

there's a lot of arguments that say something is bad without really explaining why
03-09-2021, 18:39:52 PM
That in and of itself is a logical fallacy; not supporting things with evidence, which leads to jumping to conclusions and opinions unbased in reality.

i remember a book my parents got me called "All cats have Asperger's," and it was honestly the first thing that made me realize I was autistic.

Is gender dysphoria really even a mental illness though?

It's definitely a disorder insofar as it causes significant distress in those who have it, often causes impaired functioning, is psychologically unusual, and may result in self-destructive behavior or impulses. In other words, distress, disability, deviance, and danger, the four Ds of a mental disorder. I'm not entirely sure about the relation between gender dysphoria and being transgender, though. Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?
Okay, just did some research on gender dysphoria and although it's definitely distressing and deviant (in the psychological sense, not the moral sense), I'm not really sure whether it's disabilitating or dangerous. In addition, there seems to be a fair bit of controversy about the classification of the condition itself - the diagnostic label "gender identity disorder" (GID) was used until 2013 with the release of the DSM-5, and renamed to remove the stigma associated with the term "disorder", according to Wikipedia. There's more details in that article.
Seems most of the controversy is about whether or not gender dysphoria is equivalent to being transgender, and thus whether the classification of gender dysphoria as an illness should be changed. Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?

this is post #4444
also it definitely makes sense i don't think it's dangerous or disabilitating, as gender dysphoria only really affects the mind and its image of the body as a trans girl, like, being in a male body can be somewhat hard; but, let's be honest, people can have different functions of gender dysphoria as they can autism You know where you are?
