[Fin] The Murder-Free Hotel

"Well, I um... just got here myself, and I'm trying to figure out... well, um... where I am, exactly."

Tonya grins nervously, waving hi to Scott as well.

Rasel arrives at the lobby as well. "I didn't imagine I'd meet you all again so soon, but... here we are."

"...whoa. When I said that I hope to meet you all sometime soon, I didn't mean this soon."

"So um, we all ended up here... but where is here?"

Sam Black finds himself ripped from his life in Hollywood again and yeeted into the Hotel's ballroom. (There's a ballroom?!)

Aaaaaaaaaaaah!

"I've been here numerous times, though there doesn't seem to be a clear picture of where this is," Scott said at Tonya, "But it is a hotel alright."

The yell from the ballroom is pretty loud, but gets quieter.

Wait... is this the Overlook? Get a hold of yourself, Sam. The Overlook isn't real. The Shining isn't real. You write this stuff for a living, you know that.

A hotel, huh?

Sonic rushes over to the reception table and rings the bell.

Three rooms for me, Tonya, and Rasel, please!

"It's... um. It seems pretty nice, or at least the lobby does."

Tonya paused for a moment, now somewhat suspicious about something.

"This... um, this isn't another of those games right? Like the one we were just in?"

The host hands Sonic three keys, then pauses in thought for a moment and snaps her fingers.

With a crackle of energy, Tails suddenly falls out of a portal and lands next to Sonic with an "oof!"

Sonic tosses Tonya and Rasel their keys before turning to Tails.

Tails? ...You're back! But how?

Sam gets up the courage to leave the ballroom, and finds himself in the lobby. Okay, it doesn't look like the Overlook. Then he sees Sonic and Tonya.

Huh? I thought I'd left that place. Is this still that game show?

Scott waved at Sam. "Hey. And no, this isn't part of the gameshow we just exited."

"Oh, good. Whew. That was..."

Tonya shakes her head.

"So it's just a... regular hotel then?"

Tails just kinda continues to lie there on the floor. "Ow."

Your friend is back because that is the nature of this place, the host helpfully informs Sonic.

Rasel catches his key. "Thanks. I'll head there once I start getting tired. I guess I could use some paranoia-free rest soon."

The nature of this place... Lemme guess; It's a place for all of the people who were in these "murder games" to just... Hang out? Sweet!

Sonic immediately goes to his room to set up everything, but not before checking up on Tails.

By the way, could you please give Tails a room, too? Thanks.

"So I can... rest peacefully here, um, without worrying I'm gonna get murdered in my sleep or something?"

Correct, the host says to Tonya, dropping a key on Tails's head. And with that, she vanishes with another crackling swirl of energy.

Tonya... looks significantly less nervous now.

"Oh, well that's good. I just hope there's chocolate here..."

She goes to look for a vending machine or something to buy a candy bar.

Oh, good.

Sam waves back at Scott.

I always wanted to live in a hotel, actually.

[Zanreo]

Neptune also arrives. "Oh, I'm back here again?"She looks around to see the others from the game she just was in. "Hi, everyone! I have returned... and I survived this time!"

Jocelyn wakes up bright and early. She tiptoes out of Stew's room, making sure to not wake him. Today was Valentine's Day, after all; letting him sleep in was probably the bests option, as it'd give her time to prepare her present.

She heads to the kitchen.

G'raha is also in the kitchen, looking through cookbooks. "Something simple," he mutters to himself, "yet still special..."

Amanda is busy setting out envelopes. She doesn't have a significant other, but she's got a lot of friends, so she's found some friend-appropriate cards. She's leaving them out in places where she believes people will be able to find them. Her hair is almost all bright red today, with pink highlights. (Hey, at least the streak blends in!)
