Spiders do not have a taste, because the spider stream has been with us for so long that needing to know what spiders taste like stopped being relevant to humans and many other ground-dwelling species. It is thought that some species of bird can taste spiders, as they are in the air and thus far from the spider streams.
If our default state of being is eating spiders, what does lack of spider taste like?
