Hmm. Idea.
The Host has stopped Timefriend from messing with time. Implication: Sylvi can use the pink smoke to stop him doing the loops.
... Gah, I don't like having Sylvi solve everything, though. Maybe she only holds him temporarily so others can implement a better solution that they found along the way.
e: OOH BETTER IDEA. She tries holding him, somehow screws it up, and can't do it again because he starts resetting every time he so much as sees her.
