//Oh. Okay.
Fluttershy filled in her suggestions.
1. Fluttershy could talk to the beavers about patching the hole while others go to bird-hunt. She could help these beavers retrieve driftwood from the surrounding oceans-a piece of a shipwreck would be the jackpot! Only when the beavers have everything they need will she flutter off to help catch the birds. Unfortunately, she isn't immersed in speaking extinct animal, so she's going to have to guess with the bird calls she does know. Hopefully, the extinct birds will still understand her speech. If she can't chat them back into their enclosure, she'll use her tail as a lasso and take them back by gentle, soft force.
2. Pressing her ear to the ground, Fluttershy will listen for the burrowing sloth. Then she'll walk a foot ahead of it and burrow herself, just a little entryway. Into this hole will she dangle the sloths favorite food. She can't really ponyhandle a creature with dangerous claws, so she's going to wrap it burrito-style in a tarp if she manages to draw it out. If this works, she'll unwrap the sloth back onto the tree to which it belongs, and fill the hole with concrete.
3. Lab equipment...okay, that's going to be harder. Fluttershy is no pinnacle of pony strength. She decides to go to the animals again and ask for help. If they say no? No problem...she thinks. She decides she would tie vines around the equipment, both sides, and have personnel lift it by each end. Assuming the vines are strong enough to carry the weight, it should work. You know what would also help? Logs on the bottom of the equipment that would roll like those rolly things on a conveyor belt.

If you hear about someone putting characters through intense despair and misery, then that someone is probably me.
