With that, he lifted the suitcase onto his back and slunk into the grass. Still pondering what Cookie said before her death. If he had been killed, would he really have woke up somewhere else? Did Cookie know all this would happen? Do you have to be murdered to be responded, or would he someday die of old age just to regain consciousness in a new place? If he saw Cookie, Spamton, Rambo, or Lindsey again, would they even remember each other?
He may have gotten out of there alive, but not only did he come away confused, he had a hunch he would go through these events again. Another time...another place.
