How to Checkmate
With your black king flanked
From every angle
By white rooks, knights, and bishops,
Send your final pawn to the green corner square.
He is your queen now.
After they move their knights in preparation,
Travel four squares diagonally to the centerboard
And rapture their undefended bishop,
Just out of rooks’ reach.
As they prepare a pawn capture out of desperation,
Strafe the queen over to a white square along the edge
And slay the knight.
The king is trapped by his own wall of soldiers.
Checkmate.
