no, because cactuses are not trees by most people's definition.
(though trees aren't really a genusĀ or anything like that, they're just a shape that some largely unrelated plants grow in. So it really does depend on whether the tree hugger in question thinks cactuses count as trees. It also depends on what kind of cactus you're thinking. Like, Saguaros, maybe, but most cactuses are a collection of round lumps on the ground, or a sprawling thorned shrub which don't look like trees.)
