got bored and wrote something for an OC of mine
"It's just a game in the end, you know? That's what combat is. A game!
Why are you cringe ass fuckers looking at me like that?! I'm right. That's all a battle is. You fight until your last breath, you give everything you got, and then you either lose or you win. You practice, train, go through the same thing over and over again, grind through the motions, the exploits, the orders, day and night just for the hope you get it right.
You people think you can win by just believing in yourself, clinging onto some higher idea of "morality" and "justice" and all that unpog bullshit. But all that's gonna win you is a game over, and a bullet to the head. You win by being perfect. Unthinking. Loyal. No room for deviation. No room for error!
If you lose...if you get caught, or fucking die? That just means you weren't good enough. That despite everything that they've done to hone you, sharpen you like a fine blade, you just found some way to let them down. You let your guard down at just the right moment. You were never built to be vulnerable. And if you let anyone in like that...you're doomed to be nothing but a blood-spattered head in a hood! And you fucking deserve it.
...But if you're good enough, you know you can't be beaten. And I am good enough. They called me Ultimate for a reason. Even if the second part wasn't exactly accurate, but that doesn't matter!
Despite what all of you have tried on me, I know I'm good enough. I know I can win this-I'm not gonna lose! I-I'm not letting you people in my head! I've been preparing for this my whole life! I've done this countless times-I've felt the sweet satisfaction of a completed mission, the blood on my hands, the fact that I'll return and I've proven that I've always been worth the effort to my handlers, to someone! This won't go all to waste just because after a few weeks in this cringe killing game, you take me down when I'm off my game-I'm NOT OFF MY GAME! I can't be-
And I won't let some unbased prick like you end this game for me! "
