Wood Man buys some Gummy Worms. Store brand, of course, they're a whole half-cent cheaper per ounce.
Meanwhile, Scott heads to the warehouse district. It's surprisingly okay. A red-headed figure wearing sunglasses and wearing a puffy greyish-green jacket, presumably a local guard, is sitting in a booth in front of the Strickland Warehouse. On closer inspection, it looks like they're asleep, and wearing the sunglasses to hide that. The Chemical Supply warehouse is apparently unguarded.
Seven asks around about Jane's actions some more [8]: It only reveals more of the same. People are hesitant to talk, and Jane was apparently known as a petty criminal in the area. Nothing major, mostly pickpocketing, and a little vandalism from time to time. However, you do learn that she used to work with another guy in the Catkin, running an illegal Razzle-Dazzle game. That guy was one of the previous victims of the killer. In fact, most of the victims you hear about either lived or were often around the Catkin.
Sariel gets a [?], crosses off the Arms Dealer, the Grocery Store, and the Antique shop. It looks like only the Pawn Shop might carry such a thing, with the eclectic mix of goods there. Then, on investigating the history of Jane Doe [8] discovers much the same as Seven, except for the additional insight that she may have been the mule for whatever the bar puts in the potato skins.
With three people (Ina, Terezi, and Runner Five) looking around the construction site, the guy at the gate gets annoyed and makes them put on helmets. After that, some united searching later and asking around, they come back to one name, Mr. Peter Romero. He's the only one who drinks at Horace's Bar after work, the workers say. He's in the break room, eating lunch when you find him, his handlebar mustache filled with sandwich crumbs.
B-Sha heads to the office at block six. It looks like it's undergoing refurbishment right now, but the door is open, and there's no workers to be seen. A sign hanging in the lobby has a list of grievances from the workers. It looks like the painters and carpet-installers and such are on strike, and no one's in the building.
Lynne asks about bayonets [7]:, and is immediately shown a selection of archaic military memorabilia, including a selection of bayonets.
Bowser heads to block 7, and sees two dead bodies and the TCPD officer on scene, in full riot gear. pointedly ignoring the face-down guy in the corner, and tossing a roll of crime-scene tape from hand to hand while guarding the one dead body in the middle of the tape.
