And now, a birdwatching update:
A couple of Oystercatchers have been up in my home's garden recently. It was just one earlier yesterday, but later that day, as well as today, a second one has been seen alongside them. They seem to be feeding together a fair bit, and I managed to catch a couple of photos of them really close to each other. Maybe they're nesting nearby.
Aside from that, the usual birds have been seen; seagulls, starlings, the occasional wagtail, a surprising number of either martins or swallows, and crows.
