Alright, I have a bad feeling that Mag's actually innocent, but before that, imma have to say some stuff.
Alot of the responses to my beef jerky question are basically one of confusion. Some (like Goose saying no, Nebula asking if it's some sort of reference to something) are a bit different, but have that questioning tone that likely results from that confusion.
Mag's reasoning for voting Kennifer came of as suspicious to me since it's clear in this context that it's nonsensical, and he tried to defend something of such.
However, it seems that Mag has run out of stuff to give as to why he defended me, so there's a possibility he's innocent. It's also possible that he's defending me to minimise suspicion.
